Velika Novosilka break out:
In the Vremyevsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces have cleared a "pocket" northwest of Velikaya Novosyolka, advanced to the outskirts of the settlement of Skudnoye and are expanding the zone of control east of the settlement of Novoocheretovatoye , which creates conditions for deepening pressure on Ukrainian defensive lines.
Fighting is taking place near the settlements of Burlatskoye, Skudnoye and in the direction of the settlement of Dneproenergiya, which indicates attempts by the Russian army to form an operational advantage in this section of the front."

Johnny,
Please post some twitter cut paste posts on what the Kremlin thinks about the alleged minerals deal. Genuinely curious what to think of it.

Front, Kursk region.
Yesterday, Russian news agencies spread the news that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing to withdraw troops from the Kursk region. At the moment, we can neither confirm nor deny this information, but objective control shows that it is becoming very difficult to hold the bridgehead.
The Russians managed to ensure a fairly tight isolation of this section of the front by gradually squeezing the bottleneck. The key stage of this tactic was the capture of Sverdlikovo, which allowed the Russians to move FPV drone crews to a distance of less than 5 kilometers from the main supply route H-07. Objective control data shows that the route is currently strewn with destroyed equipment (more than 30 units), which no one is evacuating.
Yes, there are two more country roads, but it is impossible to supply the Kursk group using them.
Therefore, at the moment the situation has moved into the “road of death” mode: every trip to the Kursk region and back is associated with enormous risk.
Apparently, this is what caused the rather dynamic territorial losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. In the last two days alone, the Ukrainian Armed Forces abandoned Pogrebki, Orlovka, Lebedevka (which further increased the pressure on the H-07 highway), and Novaya Sorochina was also lost.
This war showed that the period of holding territory after the creation of such a logistical pocket usually lasts from one to two months."

quote:Where does someone in Romania get $10 million in US currency...? Elon is the perfect example of book smart vs. street smart. Putin is going to have to send someone to watch him.
The Elon Musk backed pro-Russian candidate in Romania, Calin Georgescu has been arrested. Authorities raided him like the crook he is and found at least $10 million in cash and tickets to Moscow. He may have also bumped his head a little bit too.

Stuff like this gets thrown out on every page. It gets upvotes from the Ukraine enthusiasts and the ones who want the conflict resolved largely ignore it.
Why? Because it's posted from the fan fiction perspective that most people who are fatigued with the conflict and fatigued with America's involvement in it are pro-Putin and we'll somehow be insulted by Russia's failure to achieve an objective.
Any why is that? Because outside of X and a small number of people on this board, few who want a quick resolution and American disentanglement view this as a sports event and have claimed Russia as their adopted team. Most of the people painting their faces in team colors and cheering on from the sidelines as people die are our resident Ukraine fans, who have made this conflict part of their personality from 5000 miles away. Someone else posted that it's very similar to COVID in that regard, and I think that's right. And I expect that when the end of this comes, which will be soon, a lot of those people are going to drift around for a while - much like we saw with the covidians.

Its cope. Its like fans of one team telling fans of another team that they lost to the Eagles by fewer points or something.
I think some of it might also be insecurity. The amount some people REALLY care about upvotes and downvotes is really sad.
And if you have any military knowledge at all when you look into what Russia actually did in the early weeks of the war, it wasn't exactly a maneuver that someone would use if they were trying to steamroll Kyiv in 3 days. They went for the knockout punch, sure, but it was more of a probing strike to see if they could get Ukraine to crumble vs actually counting on/expecting them to.

And you claim to post facts??
It was a knockout punch, but tempered?????
lol
Three years later and the Russians would be still involved in heavy fighting ? Do you really believe Putin thought his navy would br run out of Crimea? Do you believe Putin thought Wagner would be chewed up?
Don’t felt bad, most people including myself didn’t either, but trying to gloss over Russian failures is not being truthful.
