Trump went after nations which didn't carry their fair share, that's it.

Trump was tough on Iran, Obama and Biden only appeased Iran.

Trump did a lot to get NorK to back down.

Anyone who thinks that Trump is going to go easy on Russia has bought the Russia Hoax hook line and sinker. Putin is all but forced to not play with any deal offered and then Trump will go in hard. All of this pussy footing around by the USA under Biden will cease. Heck we've only delivered 10% of what has been promised when we could deliver a helluva lot more without actually spending real dollars other than cost of freight.

I have no idea how many retired Bradleys and Abrams are stored in Europe. It's not like what was already provided to Ukraine came from the US. I doubt that the DoD spent any money on freight to return those retired in the 1990's back to the US.

Medvedev says Trump could become the new JFK if he tries to stop the war.

Daily Mail article

Totally normal, sane people they got there in charge of that communist hell-hole.

Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia kills 4, injures 18, damages hospital

by Kateryna Hodunova and Kateryna Denisova November 7, 2024 3:34 PM (Updated: November 7, 2024 5:55 PM)

Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia on Nov. 7, killing four people and injuring at least 18 others, State Emergency Service reported.

Russia struck Zaporizhzhia five times using guided aerial bombs. The attack partially destroyed an apartment building, houses and damaged a cancer hospital, according to the statement.

A four-month-old girl and two boys aged one and 10 are among the injured, Governor Ivan Fedorov said.

The number of casualties can increase as the search and rescue operation is ongoing.

And some people think that this is a reason for a lot of what Trump has been saying.

If European members of NATO think that Trump might reduce US commitment to NATO, they'll spend more on their own militaries, and that's exactly what is happening.

If European countries fear withdrawal of US support for Ukraine, that may prompt them to increase their support of Ukraine, and that's exactly what's happening.

At this point, it's so hard to know how much of the European fear is legit and how much is simply Trump manipulating them into spending more.

So many of the "Trump will sell out Ukraine" proclamations have come from the establishment left, who were saying that to try to get people to vote for Harris.

Trump pounded Europeans to make them pony up and guess what they have for the most part.

What I want vs what I think will happen are two very different things.

In my ideal world, Ukraine would regain its original borders, inclusive of Crimea.

That won't happen.

A settlement that had the lines freeze at current positions, establishing a neutral zone, and security guarantees for Ukraine would be the best Ukraine can hope for now.

If Russia won't deal or demands all of the Donbass, then I hope Trump gives Ukraine the weapons it needs with no strings attached.

I have been skeptical of your outlook on this, however, I'm starting to come around for reasons that may be different than yours. (Yes, this is an armchair psychology opinion.)

I consider Trump to be a pathological narcissist. However, during his first term he was also insecure, seeking praise and attention from other world leaders in the arena of international political affairs, an area in which he had no prior experience. He appeared to be easily manipulated by praise, and Putin took advantage of him (at least it was perceived that way).

This time around, Trump comes back in with four years of prior experience. He will probably view himself as equal to or superior to other world leaders due to that experience. I don't think he will be easy to manipulate. Putin is also much weaker today than he was during Trump's first term.

Trump has an opportunity to project strength in a way that he could not do last time around. This may be a very interesting next six months.

You don't even run for president without more than a touch of narcissism.

Listening to rational different opinions is a good thing.

I want a quick ending with Ukraine retaining its sovereignty. I want Russia stymied to the point that it will be a long time before they decided to launch a war against another country.
