re: Southeast and Midwest Severe Weather Outbreak & Flood Event: April 2-7, 2025

I’m so sick of these warnings. All these sirens and take shelter immediately are crazy. This is our 6th today. Please alert me if a funnel cloud has formed or tornado on the ground but otherwise it’s been nothing.
After this morning im almost conditioned to ignore these.

Yeah this NW Columbia system, heading into Spring Hill looks a little serious.

Yep. Easy call when everyone has been awake from sirens all night.

For sure. It’s amazing how fast these things pop up and move through.

Sirens on from around 2:45am and 3:00am here in Franklin, TN. Clear for the time being… can’t go back to sleep with all potential in the coming hours.

Dude you need some self reflection.
Stop trying to champion women and give the illusion to yourself and others that you’re a good person because you’re really just an idiot.
You’re defending a 30 year old “student” (think how dumb it is we gave a visa to a Turkish national that’s 30 years old) that according to Homeland Security was a Hamas supporter and not pro-Palestine only.
She is certainly a terrorist sympathizer here on visa. A visa is a privilege not a right. Ozturk glorified and engaged in activities that supported Hamas - supporting terrorists who kill Americans is grounds issuance to be terminated.

The rise of social media alongside immediate access to news reporting nationally and globally keeps people from thinking clearly and calmly. It stresses people out because you are constantly worried about everything, even things you have no control over. That coupled with social media's constant comparison game keeps buyers on the sideline.
You used to just find a house near your family & friends, walk into a local bank branch (with a lender your family probably knew), got a loan, and just figured it all out without stress and comparison.
If I wanted to live in Metairie next to my wife's whole family, I would need my parents to give me a massive payment to help with the cost like a lot of family & friends relatives have done for them. That's why we don't live close to family.

I have never been to Russia. I would bet that 98% of the posters responding have never been to Russia either.
I do know what I was told historically about Russia and our competition in the 20th century and proxy wars across the world. I believe we would annihilate them militarily and that our freedoms are vast and protected compared to theirs.
That said, I don’t think Russia is this terrible, evil enemy in the east looking to destroy my way of life. I also think people that vocally support Z & Ukraine in this complicated geopolitical conflict are as stupid as the people that have a ‘fu** Putin’ bumper sticker on their Prius.
We do not have to pick a side in this conflict. It’s cringy when people defend & support Ukraine to me bc it trends so similarly to the social justice warriors.

To the posters that have been involved in this thread for years and thousands of pages, what outcome do you want for this war?
Does anyone here believe top democrats are being too quiet?
Posted by MoistureintheOyster on 11/6/24 at 7:02 pm
Friends and family have been mentioning they think top dems have too easily rolled over and taken the L. They think closer to inauguration we may see funny business. Like Kamala taking over, doing something that causes riots like not certifying election, and then enacting martial law.
I don’t see this as a possible outcome but curious on y’all’s thoughts.

I think the reason he won’t answer is that there are a lot of industries/corporations that rely on cheap immigrant labor to keep costs down. I imagine a lot of the politicians yet again care for anyone but the taypayer.
