Cool, now do Russia's economy and ability to finance the military campaign!

Gradually, then suddenly?

Remember when you told us a long time ago that the entire Eastern front was collapsing because Russia made some localized gains...we remember.

I would say that it definitely feels like the extremely small gains we were seeing Russia making will become larger, but that's not really a prediction because its already happening in some areas

Just close your eyes, ignore things that don't support what you hope will happen, and wish really, really hard and maybe it'll come true. That also applies to your leftist politics.

I truly believed when this began that Russia would overwhelm and take control of Ukraine in a month or less. I was cheering for the underdog, but had no expectation that it would end any other way.

At this point I am firmly convinced that Russia will never overwhelm and take control of Ukraine.

I don't expect Ukraine to recover all of its land through military action, but the very fact of its enduring sovereignty and independence is so much closer to an outright "win" than seemed possible.

Is this board in denial about the gigantic hole that has been punched through the Ukrainian lines in Donbas?

Losing Pokrovsk has catastrophic potential for Ukraine largely because of its role in the supply chain.

Bingo.

Those folks up there who "invaded" a bunch of trees, are gonna find themselves, hungry and cold without ammo. And the whole front will be compromised when they lose that rail hub.

But Russia losing control of one of the main lines it is using to supply its forces in the Donbas is going to have no effect?

In addition Russia is bombarded power infrastructure throughout the country, for a second day in a row, in a magnitude not see in quite a while.

It took Russia roughly 4 months to stockpile enough missiles and drones for the last few days of attacks. However, it did not have the weapons to attack for three days in a row. It can damage the Ukrainian power infrastructure but it cannot sustain a prolonged attack to actually destroy the infrastructure because Ukraine has time to repair the infrastructure during the time it takes Putin to rebuild his supply of missiles and drones. Plus unlike Russia, Ukraine has sustained 2 years of these type of attacks. People have purchased backup generators and battery systems. They have been able to survive the past 2 winters and they will survive another one.

Ukraine's power infrastructure will end up being better than ever because it is replacing destroyed or damaged Soviet facilities with western technology.

ETA: Speaking of 4 months. Has Kharkiv or even Vov'chansk fallen yet, or do we need to just wait another 48 hours?

That was Stiddy. He also guaranteed Russia would take Kyiv by February of this year.

1. What is the Moscow metro police preparing for that they need to purchase MRAPs?

2. Why is the Moscow metro police purchasing Chinese MRAPs instead of MRAPs made in Mother Russia? After all Mother Russia has switched to a war time economy, right?

Likely appeasing his sugar daddy, Putin. We already know that having artillery dialed into the very few routes across that large swamp at the border will devastate any military columns.

Haven't German WWII tanks still been found mired in that swamp for decades?
