Apparently posters in this thread cared enough about who did it to definitively say it was Russia before it inevitably came out that it wasn't

I assumed Ukraine did it anyway so this doesn't change anything for me. What it does is expose the morons who are speaking in absolutes about things they don't even know. But if its in line with 'The Narrative' anyone who goes against it gets dogpiled because those subscribed to 'The Narrative' can't think for themselves.

That can mean actually the west, or the west as in the coalition going against Russia right now which would include Ukraine.

the post I quoted clearly implies Russia did it themselves

This is rich coming from someone who insistently argues that everything he says be taken verbatim with no further assumptions or implications

And if that poster provides context we will know one way or the other what they meant. I didn't assume either way what he meant about "the west" and presented both possibilities, and in the end it doesn't matter anyway because they obviously were saying Russia did it.

So if you assume I mean something I don't, I should just not clarify? Thats retarded.

No there really aren’t. 2 have been destroyed with another 2 or 3 damaged by shrapnel but repaired. That’s it.

BOOM! There it is. JASSM.

Politico:

Biden ‘open’ to sending long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine

quote:

The Biden administration is “open” to sending long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine, a move that would give Kyiv’s F-16s greater combat punch as it seeks to gain further momentum in its fight against Russia.

The White House’s willingness to give Ukraine the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile comes as Kyiv’s surprisingly successful ground assault deep inside Russia heads into its second week, embarrassing Vladimir Putin and forcing him to redirect troops from the battlefield in Ukraine.

JASSM.

according to WIKI, the missile has a 230 mi range. that means it could easily hit Kerch bridge and be fired 40 miles west of the Dnipro

Very interesting observation about the difference between Ukrainian and Russian citizens.

Weird misattribution.

TBC, if a cross-border offensive was a remotely sustainable effort on Ukraine's part, I'd be cheering right there with you, Spidy. Unfortunately, unlike the drone program, a Ukrainian ground offensive within Russia is not sustainable. Normally an offensive effort costs more in human terms than would a defensive one. So in the long term this likely plays to Russian advantage. Though that may seem counterintuitive to the Zelinskyy fan club, it's a major risk.

The danger here, aside from perennial war, is the remaining possibility of partial Ukrainian collapse, leaving Ukraine in a far poorer negotiating position than was the case in April 2022. Cheerleader fantasies are blinding you guys to that possibility.

Boom is right. Tremendous news.

Recent history has shown us that the White House likes to float these "we're considering it" balloons just prior to affirming the decision to supply a new weapon system.

There are two versions of the JASSM cruise missiles: the AGM-158A with a 230 mile (370km) operational range and the AGM-158B Extended Range with a 525 mile (926km) range.

Duck MF.

Is Putin having his worst week? No, Putin is having his worst week yet.

I agree in the sense I, too, was initially skeptical of the longevity of the operation.

It looks like it might be more sustainable than I thought initially.

Seems like the Biden White House feels compelled to telegraph everything instead of letting the new capabilities have some surprise value.

Early reports were that there were about 1,000 Ukrainians in the raid, but it turns out that it is more like 15,000. Big surprise for Putin's minions.

This might shed light on some of the reason Putin was rather slow to respond to this "raid."

Yes, but there's a reason for this. They want to have Putin get used to the move and not panic and do something stupid. Or panic more and do something even more stupid.

Besides, the Russian bases and supply depots are not moving.
