Whenever I read an article and they describe prigo as a catering mogul I have to laugh.

Truly the most insane timeline where knockoff Aramark is about to storm Moscow

Fox News is giving an update now.

Here’s some key points:

1. Prigozhin Is demanding the Russian Minister of Defense come to Rostov to meet with him. If he doesn’t come to Rostov, Prigozhin says he will go to Moscow, with the implication being that he will go at the head of an armored column.

2. Putin is calling this move by Prigozhin “treason” and says it cannot be tolerated.

3. There are portions of the Russian Army siding with Wagner. They didn’t elaborate further though.

It appears there is a civil war getting underway in Russia.

How the frick is Russia's economy still standing? Countless billions spent for little gain, countless lives lost, millions of ordinary citizens fleeing the country, and now more money spent on war INSIDE their own borders.

Does he have mafia ties? His early bio makes him seem like a gangster.

He's only saying it's a lie because they aren't winning and Wagner isn't getting the spoils of war.

This shite is moving fast. A coup in a nuclear power is a little unnerving.

how does the west not see any of this coming with all the intel assets pointed in that direction of the world right now?

It’s not hard to imagine Turkey becoming host to Putin’s gov’t-in -exile.
Depending on how Erdogen plays it, it could make Turkey an adversary of the “new” Russia.
Whether Putin has residual power after a successful coup is entirely a guess…

Will be interesting to see how it actually plays out in the next couple of days. For Putin, as long as he doesn't see all out collapse on the front lines, if he can find a way to subdue Wagner he may manage to get past this.

For Prigozhin, just curious what he realistically wants for endgame. Unless the military switches over, his odds aren't amazing since he hasn't removed any senior leadership.

Overall though, its a day old, just going to have to wait and see. I suspect neither Putin or Prigozhin are people the West wants to see in power, particularly nuclear power.

Not anymore. He's got 25,000 personal troops of his own, plus a great mini friends in the Russian military behind him, plus a good chunk of the Russian public.

Meanwhile back in Ukraine we have this from Rybar

https://t.me/rybar/48956
quote:

Counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Orekhovsky sector
situation as of 17.00 June 24, 2023

While the whole world is watching the rebellion of the head of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin and the "march of justice" to Moscow, active hostilities continue at the front. And the most intense pressure falls on the Orekhovsky area .

??Ukrainian formations advanced 1.5 km north of Rabotino , taking landings. Reinforcements of special forces from among the 22nd detachment of the Special Forces and the 45th detachment of the Special Forces of the Airborne Forces were transferred to the site to help the infantry units, which, under pressure from the enemy, were forced to retreat.

In the event that the Russian troops succeed in regrouping and seizing the initiative, it is possible to close the advancing enemy groups into a "cauldron" north of Rabotino - at least the RF Armed Forces have enough forces and means in the area.

??According to the Archangel of the Spetsnaz , a concentration of enemy infantry was revealed near Nesteryanka : after a successful fire defeat, the Ukrainian formations were dispersed.

?? Five Hats are still partly in the gray zone, partly under the control of the enemy. There is no confident control of the RF Armed Forces over the settlement, the Russian infantry is working on enemy reinforcements trying to move forward.

??In general, there are too many problems in the Zaporozhye direction, so the fighters, to put it mildly, do not pay much attention to the rebellious marches in the rear.
