Good question Nit, however, we've let this be taken over by politics again and arguing about WWII and its difficult to weed that out for those attempting to keep up with the war. They can't begin their own threads and get a response.

7) You love dictators, because you admire power in our current world of sissies?
8) The political people you follow hate Zelensky, and so you reflexively follow them?
9) You, in bizarre, warped vision, see Putin as a champion of Christianity or traditional values?
10) You are a true Communist, and you wish to see the glory days of the USSR return?

there will be a dictatorship in Russia – that of national patriots. And the first thing they'll do is settle the score with national traitors," he remarked.
I mean, that is SOP for any new totalitarian leadership.

No. It's the Soviets followed closely by the Chinese.
The poles lost 20% of their population, the USSR 10%.
The USSR lost more men in number, but as a percentage of population, Poland got fricked.

Rather than linking tweets I'll summarize this one
Russia has announced that Georgians can now enter Russia visa free and direct flights can resume. However the Georgian president is being very vocal that visas will remain in place for Russians and no direct flights will resume

They weren’t doing much but starving Ukrainians to death and murdering political opponents before then.
They did the world good by beating the Nazis.
But before then they were brutally killing each other, aligning themselves with the Nazis and attacking Finland and Poland.
You are correct.
The big picture is that for st least 100 years Russia has been a huge cancer on this planet except for about three years when they were forced to fight for self preservation.

should have a lot to bring to the thread in the coming days. It really feels like things are heating up along the frontline. While it's too early to say exactly what's going on, but there is a growing tension that suggests that movement is happening.

Just dropping by to say frick Zelensky. His death will be a blessing.
Russia invaded Ukraine way before Zekensky even entered politics; yet Russian apologists and Biden haters make him a scapegoat,
The man rose in the political ranks in a corrupt system so I do not believe he is as pure as the snow, but to his people he is their Churchill.
He didn’t cut and run for the border when Russia came after him. Instead he stood talk rallying his people against the odds to preserve Ukrainian sovereignty,
Obviously you have to be a Russian sympathizer or a Russian to wish him dead.

Back to the war, I don't think that enough attention is being paid to Prigozhin's remark in his video yesterday:
Everyone knows that this is a reference to Putin. It's one thing for Prigozhin to attack Shoigu and Gerasimov, but going directly after Putin is another thing altogether.
Today, he followed up on that: LINK
But no one in Russia calls Gerasimov as "grandpa," but it's a common way to refer to Putin, so Prigozhin's joke doesn't make any sense.
This would be a "tea or window" moment for anyone else, but Prigozhin obviously thinks that he's untouchable. I wonder if he's as safe as he thinks, though.

Prigozhin publishes audio responses to journalists where he says Wagner still not receiving shells, MoD boxing them out. Clarified that “grandfather” remark could refer to three people (none of whose are Putin). He says “you choose which of the three:”
1. fmr deputy Minister of Defense now Wagner “deputy commander” Mizintsev (pronounces his name very strangely),
2. Gerasimov or
3. Natalia Khim, reality tv personality turned propagandist / militant cosplayer who donated some shells to Wagner (pictured).

This is trolling

Agreed, you can sense the tension building, once the offensive kicks off there will be lots to discuss. The stalemate we've watched over the winter will finally end.

quote:That or he has already gotten the "tea or window" threat and is now in "F it" mode. I am curious how his sudden demise would be met with by troops. The Wagner troops would certainly rebel, but the standard troops might consider it a rallying cry.

It’s really just a matter of how you want to quantify it. Basically everyone that lived between Berlin and Moscow was fricked.

I'm confused. Were you talking about me, or GeauxGutsy, who said that Zelensky's death would be a blessing? Chromdome35 and I were trying to figure out GeauxGutsy's motivation for that.
