It’s hilarious people saying how trustworthy it is yet I bet they’ve never watched it or know how things operate over there.
Aren’t you the Damar Hamlin conspiracy guy? I’m skeptical you understand very much.

What happened to Bakhmut being encircled weeks ago?

I wasted over 3 and a half years of my life in Iraq. War is terrible, and anyone who says otherwise has never participated.

Key Takeaways
Russian President Vladimir Putin continued to portray himself as a wartime leader in anticipation of a planned Ukrainian counteroffensive during his visit to occupied Kherson and Luhansk oblasts.
Putin’s visit likely intended to publicly identify scapegoats ahead of the planned Ukrainian counteroffensives.
Putin’s demonstrative meetings with Teplinsky, Makarevich, and Lapin likely confirm another change in military command and possibly within the Kremlin’s inner circle.
Select members of the “Club of Angry Patriots” are advocating for a revolution in Russia if the Kremlin freezes the war or pursue peace negotiations with Ukraine and the West.
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu met to discuss on strategic partnership and military cooperation in Moscow on April 18.
The Russian State Duma approved a series of amendments to the Russian Criminal Code on April 18 aimed at encouraging domestic self-censorship and repressing the Russian public.
Russian authorities detained Russian public relations specialist Yaroslav Shirshikov, an associate of detained Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, in Yekaterinburg on April 18.
The Russian Immortal Regiment Central Headquarters announced the cancelation of the annual Immortal Regiment Victory Day march, likely in an effort to reduce public discussion of war dead.
Russian forces conducted limited ground attacks northeast of Kupyansk and along the Svatove-Kreminna line.
Russian forces continued to make gains in Bakhmut and conducted ground attacks along the Avdiivka-Donetsk City line.
Ukrainian officials reported that Russian forces continue defensive preparations in southern Ukraine.
The Kremlin continues efforts to integrate proxy formations with conventional Russian forces.
Russian occupation officials continue to deport Ukrainian civilians to Russia under healthcare and rehabilitation schemes.
Belarus may begin economically supporting Russian-occupied Donetsk Oblast with a patronage system.

Well if you're talking about the Russian spring offensive, you missed it. They massed 100,000 prisoners on the eastern front, and they were slaughtered by the Ukrainian army. Failed to even take Bahkmut. Now they're focusing on digging trenches like it was 1915.
If you're talking about the Ukraine spring offensive, that hasn't happened yet. It's been too wet to support maneuver warfare. (Russia didn't have to worry about that because most of its tanks have been destroyed. And it's not competent enough to conduct combined arms maneuver warfare to begin with).
The forecast is for more rain through the middle of next week. Then normal late spring to summer weather patterns should fall into place.
Another couple of weeks to move into position and assemble some of the hundreds of western armored vehicles that are still pouring into the country.
I think you're looking at mid May.
Thanks for your question! Come by any time.

INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 19 April 2023
Since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian state has systematically used information operations as a major element of its strategy. It has cultivated multiple channels and proxies to spread disinformation: the intentional creation and sharing of false or manipulated information.
One component of Russia's disinformation is 'narrative laundering, whereby Russia promotes information from proxies, or unverified social media sources, which then permeates to more mainstream or state-run media. This aims to cloud the source of the information, making it easier for the Russian state to distance itself from the message. It then promotes misleading fragments of the narrative, while masking its vested interest.
Russian state actors present manipulated narratives in both orchestrated and opportunistic ways. Their current priorities almost certainly include discrediting the Ukrainian government and reducing international support for Ukraine.

Yeah, I literally lost contact with the outside world a month and a half ago (no loss really). Bakhmut had been ready to fall any day for a few weeks then. But the Russians were scaling back expectations then so it wasn't really a surprise to find it hadn't fallen. I'm seeing a fair number of military age Russian speaking males out in the world. It seems the smart ones with resources got out. In a few weeks I'll be in a couple of Stans which should be really interesting.

We’ve seen our share of this.

Another drawdown, only $325 million -- almost all ammo.
This is in conjunction with the next Ramstein meeting, which is tomorrow, I think.

In peaceful times, a huge meteor passing overhead would be cool and amazing.
Understandably, the people of Kyiv were not largely unable to react that way today, as it set off air raid sirens and people went to shelters.

Dang good video!
Obtuse - pertaining to your video with the U tank blasting the Russian trench and then rolling back and forth over it. I saw a video of what I think was the sole Russian survivor. He had to be dug out by the Us. Said there were 30 of them there and he was the only survivor.

Malyar stated that Ukrainian forces will never preemptively announce when the counteroffensive starts and reiterated that Ukrainian forces aim to liberate all Ukrainian territory.[5] Malyar also reported that Russian forces are concentrating on offensives in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions and that Russian forces have concentrated weapons, equipment, and all professional units – including Wagner Group forces, Spetsnaz, and airborne forces (VDV) – around Bakhmut.[6] Malyar noted that Ukrainian counteroffensive actions will be both offensive and defensive in nature given the complex nature of the battlefield

There was never going to be a spring offensive. Ukraine doesn’t have the men or equipment available yet. Especially because they’re using most of their resources to mount the defense.
