For a supposed bastion of Christian nationalism, they sure rely on a hell of a lot of Muslims to do the actual fighting.

They are against Ukraine because the democrats are for Ukraine. If Trump came out and spoke up for Ukraine they would have blue and yellow flags tomorrow.

Its partisan. I'm still shocked that the far right is supporting Putin now.

Yet Trump came out and publicly condemned Russia for the 24th expansion of the invasion.

IMO, they are just dullards who are all about "Look a squirrel" mentality. The real sheeple of the world

British Defence Intelligence
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 8 November 2022
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE

Russia has started constructing defensive structures around the occupied southern Ukrainian city of Mariupol. Two plants are producing concrete pyramidal anti-tank structures, known as dragon's teeth, for this purpose.

Dragon's teeth have likely been installed between Mariupol and Nikolske village; and from northern Mariupol to Staryi Krym village. Mariupol forms part of Russia's 'land bridge' from Russia to Crimea, a key logistics line of communication. Dragon's teeth have additionally been sent for the preparation of defensive fortifications in occupied Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.

Russia is fortifying its lines throughout areas of occupation. On 19 October 2022, Wagner Group owner Yevgeny Prigozhin claimed the construction of a fortified 'Wagner Line of defences in Russian-occupied Luhansk Oblast. This activity suggests Russia is making a significant effort to prepare defences in depth behind their current front line, likely to forestall any rapid Ukrainian advances in the event of breakthroughs.

^No more pretense that everything is going according to plan. Building fixed defenses doesn’t look like an army preparing to drive through Ukraine.

The terrible news coming out of Pavlivka and Svatove has got to be discouraging to the Russian population despite their conditioning for endless suffering.

AFU eliminates 710 more occupiers – General Staff

on November 7, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 710 more occupiers.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has already lost more than 77,000 of its soldiers.

This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the AFU.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24 to November 8 approximately amounted to:

personnel ? about 77,170 (+710),
tanks – 2,786 (+15) units,
armored fighting vehicles ? 5,654 (+24) units,
artillery systems – 1,791 (+9) units,
MLRS - 391 (+0) units,
air defense equipment - 203 (+1) units,
aircraft - 278 (+1) units,
helicopters - 260 (+0) units,
UAV operational-tactical level – 1,476 (+4),
cruise missiles - 399 (+0),
ships/boats - 16 (+0) units,
vehicles and tank trucks – 4,216 (+17) units,
special equipment - 159 (+2).

The enemy suffered the greatest losses in the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka directions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that hundreds of Russian soldiers are dying in Donbas, the ground is literally littered with their bodies.

In addition, over the past day, the AFU repelled attacks by the occupiers near 10 settlements, including in the area of ??Bakhmut, Mayorsk in the Donetsk Region, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk Region.

Why do many Russians continue to hope for a strategic victory? I think that this Telegram account provides a good example of their (flawed) thinking. It's worth reading to understand why Russian morale has not completely collapsed:

after reading the russian strategy and seeing the equipment they are bringing out now to the front line....i feel like i have been transported back to the 80s, almost like this is the plot and strategy from Red Dawn.

its fricking nuts they are 40-50 years behind and have had to resort to getting equipment from Iran

TIL thing

I don't think this is as bad as we think it is as Iran actually reverse engineered US drones to make the ones they are giving to Russia.

It sounds like an incredible way to get a lot of Russians killed.

It could work in theory… but a lot of people are gonna die in the process.

Ukrainian Azovstal defender, who was part of POW trade, admits 60% of Mariupol is pro-Russian (they wanted to join Russia), 20% neutral, 20% support Ukraine

In April of 2014 after 200,00 plus refugees left the eastern part of Ukraine still most of the pro Russian people were not in favor of joining the Russian Federation.

In April 2014 there was a poll done by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology in the eastern and southern part of the Ukraine. Most of population thought the Prime Minister was in office illegally and not comfortable with the government. The overall poll was not real positive for the Ukraine, but still only 8.4% were in favor of leaving Ukraine and joining the Russian Federation.

quote:

On Possible Unification with Russia: Even the most pro-Russian regions of Ukraine are not well disposed to the idea that “Ukraine and Russia should unite into one state.” Only 8.4 percent of respondents would support that.

quote:

The government of Acting Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk received similarly low marks, with 49.6 percent of respondents considering it illegal.

Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), poll

The percentage of people wanting to stay part of the Ukraine is up from the referendum vote to join the Ukraine in 1991.

In 1991 Donetsk Oblast voted in Ukrainian Independence Referendum 83.9% to join Ukraine.

Olga Skabeyeva wants to know if Russia will overtake any new towns in Ukraine soon.

War correspondent tells her they're advancing 3 cm a day.

Funnier still that he's likely exaggerating.

EXCLUSIVE: Russia flew 140 million euros and a selection of captured UK and US weapons to Iran in return for dozens of deadly drones for its war in Ukraine, a security source has told @SkyNews
quote:

A Russian aircraft secretly transported the cash and 2 models of munition - a British NLAW anti-tank missile, a US Javelin anti-tank missile & a Stinger anti-aircraft missile - to an airport in Tehran in the early hours of 20 August, the source said speaking anonymously.
quote:

The weapons had been part of a shipment of UK and US military equipment intended for the Ukrainian military that "fell into Russian hands", according to the source.
quote:

The source said they could give Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) the ability to study Western technology and potentially copy it. "They will probably be reverse-engineered and used in future wars," the source said.
quote:

For its part, Iran supplied Russia with more than 160 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including 100 Shahed-136 drones, the source claimed. These have been nicknamed "suicide drones" because they explode on impact.
quote:

The source alleged that a further drone deal worth €200m (£174m) had been agreed between Tehran and Moscow in the past few days.
quote:

"That means there will be another big supply of UAVs from Iran soon," the source said.

How long can Israel sit on the sidelines?

With Netanyahu in power, I think that will change.

Also, Netanyahu is a hero of the American Right, which also hates Iran. Indeed, a persistent critique of the Right against Biden has been his decision to try to revive the Iran nuclear deal. The involvement of Iran and Israel in the war is actually very good news for those of us American conservatives who want to continue to support Ukraine, as supporting Iran and opposing Israel is a very challenging task for Putin's fanboys on the Right.
