I can't answer the want question, I don't want that to happen so we don't have to respond. I think my feelings about any response would depend on how the weapon was used. If they should pop one on Snake Island as a demonstration of willingness, I would view that differently than if they pop one on Kiev.
Any response by the West would be driven by the circumstances.

I've been trying to figure Kherson out for a few days. It's been a full two weeks since the big Ukrainian breakthrough along the Dnipro that caused the Russians to retreat back a good bit and form a new defensive line.
It was widely agreed at the time that there was no natural place for a strong defensive line and that Ukraine should be able to break the new line. So, why haven't they done so? Here's what I think:
Forcing a breakthrough can be costly. Ukraine values the lives of its soldiers. The more Russians retreat, the easier that breakthrough will be. It looks to me that Ukraine has been conducting probing attacks in different places along the line for the last several days, looking for a weak spot, and they haven't found one as weak as they'd like.
But there's no doubt that Russia is withdrawing, and that they cannot supply their forces. On that front, the clock favors Ukraine. After stealing the Kherson's fire trucks yesterday, they took the ambulances across the river today.
Also today, Ukraine HIMARSed a pontoon ferry and sunk the pontoon section, which Russia will have to remove before they can try again.
In other words, I don't think that Ukraine is forcing the issue because they can afford to wait. Russia gets weaker every day, both because supplies are insufficient, and because they are now pulling troops across the river every day and weakening the strength that they have left. Ukraine will strike decisively when the moment is right -- we just don't know when.

what we get and others dont is that the US wanted this war to happen so we goaded putin. putin didnt want this, but what was he supposed to do when the americans continued to break the treaty they signed with russia to stop growing NATO? that didnt work so obama green lighted a coup in ukraine. that didnt work, so biden flirted with ukraine and NATO. that reasonably was the last straw. putin fought this, but was left no choice
now, this isnt enough. the bidens, obamas, clintons, faucis, and zelenskys want a nuclear war so they can hide all of the crimes theyve engaged in ukraine these last few years. that is why we are putting billions into this war effort. to push putin into a corner so he has to lash out with a nuke
putin is trying to save us from all of this and the globalist elites like biden but theres only so much he can do
now, this isnt enough. the bidens, obamas, clintons, faucis, and zelenskys want a nuclear war so they can hide all of the crimes theyve engaged in ukraine these last few years. that is why we are putting billions into this war effort. to push putin into a corner so he has to lash out with a nuke

Why don't these people root for Communist China and North Korea? Those countries aren't woke. If these idiots are going to support genocidal dictatorships, why don't they stay true to their convictions? Just oppose that "globalism" everywhere.

Amen brother. DOn't forget the heroic role the Iranians are playing in this. Obama interfered in Iran and tryed to pull a coup just like he did when he put Zelensky in power in 2019. We were wrong about them. The CIA pulled the wool over our eyes. I'll take the Muslims in Iran over the godless libs and the NWO any day.
