Admin let OML back in, and with a few politicals have dominated the thread for the last 3 days. Again, they can't "get traction" on their own board.

Wait I thought you said peak escalation was October and you even came in to claim your "I told you so" because Russia launched some missles...but now the escalation is winter?

Because Ukraine's interest has long been integration with Europe proper, and for some reason, Putin thought that the long negotiated agreements between Ukraine and Russia about Crimean bases were at stake, among many other reasons.

what happened to you being banned from this thread

I got banned from the Allison Rice thread. I was legit posting on topic. Had OWL go in the thread and tell me some stupid shite that he always does. I told him I was not going to engage with him in that thread.

I presented a theory that that was not popular, some people complained and I got banned from the thread. What's the deal with wanting to get people banned from a thread?

That's fricking stupid. How can you have a legit discussion if you don't allow everyone to share what they think. It might seem crazy, but that doesn't mean there can be some truth in it.

Some of you are a bunch of weak pussies.

First, in American English, periods go inside the quotation. Second, what caused Euromaiden?

You think that after the use of a nuke in Ukraine, then the West would be less likely to be involved?

You don't appear familiar enough with East Ukrainian ethnic grievances to be engaging this.

You appear to be unfamiliar with how self-determination works. There is no unilateral secession allowed in international law, meaning that even if Donbass wanted to secede from Ukraine, if Ukraine was not party to any agreement, it would not be recognized internationally. So what you want, by your own argument, is to elevate the self-determination of ethnic Russians above the Ukrainians. I think I have a pretty strong handle on this.

Cease with the projection. It isn't a good look.

Then deal with the logic, because you've said some insane things in this thread that make absolutely no sense.

After the fact? Nope. But if it was avoidable, yet not avoided, survivors would rightfully cast the irresponsibility on all parties.

Lol, as if that would matter. What a flip answer.

Russian troops have been in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea since 2014.
Putin has been active inside Ukraine for over 8 years now. They went full scale this February.
Russia wants Ukraine. That was their goal. They still do, but they can’t take it.

My point still stands. The Russian troops that were massed at the border, that the US warned would launch an invasion, were there under the guise of a large scale training mission. Those troops had no idea that they were about to be ordered to invade Ukraine.

In the early days of the war multiple Russian POWs said as much. Multiple POWs said they were told they were going on a training mission and that they had not been equipped or prepared for the invasion. For many Russian families the first word of war they heard was from their captured sons calling home.

US intel came through in that regard and spent at least a month warning Ukraine that the invasion was coming. That's when you saw all the Ukrainian PR hits of civilians training for war come out, even as the Ukranian government publicly played down the possibility of a Russian invasion.

It was a weird build-up to a war.

I’ve been saying it starts in October. We’re still a week or two away before harvest is announced, and even if I’m off there specifically, I still think my predictions are on target come early/mid-November.

Hey what about the missile strikes which you said didn't occur for several months? Did you miss that post? Can we go over it again?

You've still never linked these predictions, and your October escalation is a big ole nothing burger 17 days in.

The Ukrainians have requested a blackout on reporting which most media and internet outlets are going along with. Putin and Russia have taken advantage of the lack of reporting from Ukraine to vastly expand the propaganda and psy-ops aspects of the war. So we’ve seen a tremendous increase in Russian messaging in western media over the last week to ten days.

As for the war, the only well-known change has been the new presence of enough Iranian drones to create swarm attacks on Ukrainian cities. There are also reports of a large number if Iranian Guard troops in Ukraine to fly the drones and train Russians. Typical Russian use of terror, with the added direct involvement of Iran.

So right now Europe and possibly Israel are considering additional sanctions against Iran for getting directly involved in attacks on Ukrainian population centers.

In a strange twist, now the Americans who support Russia are supporting a military alliance with Iran against Ukraine and the West.

This thread is filled with a lot of bullshite. But all it takes is for someone to post some bullshite several people don't like and people start crying and complaining.

No one makes you read or respond to a person's post. Im not trying to hijack this thread, but its just a bitch move to call for someone to be banned from a thread especially if they are staying on topic.

Looks like some troop and equipment build up Belarus in cooperation between the two countries. Last I’ve seen is about 9,000 Belarusian troops and Russia has moved a decent amount of equipment there. Maybe to stage another shot at Kyiv or just a feint, an actual feint this time.

That may be a training location for new mobilized troops. The numbers are way to small to be an invasion force and the Russians are reportedly not coming to the location with artillery. That particular situation is being over-discussed.
