Terrible deflection. 1/10. You should do better.

Elon Musk as zip to do with the official American response

U.S. to send munitions, Humvees to Ukraine in $725 mln aid package -officials

WASHINGTON, Oct 14 (Reuters) - The Biden administration's next security assistance package for Ukraine is expected to include munitions and vehicles but not significant new capabilities or counter-air defenses, two U.S. officials briefed on the $725 million package told Reuters on Friday.

The package, that could come as soon as Friday, is the first aid package since Russia's barrage of rocket attacks on civilian population centers in Ukraine in recent days.

More escalation and more military industrial complex.

It appears Biden refuses to diffuse this and will continue escalation. We may truly be on the brink....

It can end tomorrow if the Russians go home. A really easy solution.

Let me rephrase the question, what specific apparatus is responsible for funding the Chechens?

Escalation?
I haven’t seen any escalation in this war since Russia went all out in February.
A bunch of Humvees doesn’t threaten Russia.

I just realized that by sending the Pentagon the bill for services that he volunteered to provide, Elon Musk has literally become a warmonger.

He's Tony Stark's character arc from Iron Man 1 (2008) but in reverse.

These rumors are definitely circulating on Russian-language Telegram:

quote:

These are probably just rumours but I'm reading that Russian MoD asked Roskomnadzor to start prosecution against (Girkin) Strelkov, Pegov (WarGonzo), Podolyaka, Vladlen Tatarsky, Mardan, Dimitriev, and the creator of Rybar channel.

Girkin hasn't posted for 4 days.
LINK

I don't think that anyone will actually be prosecuted right now. This is more about sending a message.

Saw that. Meduza is passing this reporting on from Mash, an outlet that I don't know anything about, but it includes some specific details not there from Dmitri:

quote:

Russian law enforcement agencies have started checking Kremlin loyalist Telegram channels that post about Russia’s war in Ukraine for “discrediting” the Russian army, fake news, and other prohibited content, reports publication Mash.

According to Mash, the outlets subject to official verification include: Igor Strelkov’s Telegram channel (Strelkov is the former defense minister of the annexed DNR); Semyon Pegov, journalist and creator of the WarGonzo project; Sergey Mardan, radio host for Komsomolskaya Pravda; the bloggers Yury Podolyak, Vladlen Tatarsky, Igor Dmitriev, and Kristina Potupchik; and the anonymous Telegram channels GreyZone and Rybar.

Valery Gerasimov, head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, personally requested that Roskomnadzor monitor content in the Telegram channels, reports Mash. The prosecutor general’s office joined the effort, represented by the director of the department which supervises federal security, interethnic relations, and countering extremism and terrorism.

“The reason is criticism of the Ministry of Defense and its decisions during the special military operation,” writes Mash.

On the morning of October 14, WarGonzo’s Telegram channel cited sources in law enforcement reporting,“a list sent down from above of channels and journalists who allegedly discredit the special military operation and Ministry of Defense.” WarGonzo itself is allegedly on the list.

Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of RT, later wrote: “Regarding posts by military bloggers – my friends, colleagues, and patriots – about some claims against them from the top, I hasten to note that authorities had no questions for them in making their decisions.”

It obviously can’t be said enough that Putin alone started this war. Putin alone, or his death, can stop it.

Last war discussion was back on pages 1981-82. It's been trolling since then.

Unlike the War Room, there is, in fact, fighting in the war thread

We actually had a good three pages or so yesterday of good technical and war post.
Then Stout, the king of contractors and renovations in the Lake Charles area who pretends to be a scholar in international studies, came in and has lost his mind.

Here is a different version, from Mash (in Russian):

quote:

Nine Russian military correspondents and military correspondent projects at once risk falling under criminal charges for discrediting Russian Armed Forces, due to "fakes”, criticism of Russian Ministry of Defense and Russian command- Russian media

A bit late, but the Ministry of Defense is trying to stop criticism and control the narrative. Should be interesting, especially with Strelkov. LINK

Edited to add link.
