That's why they keep ignoring that the EU is the organization Putin fears, not NATO.
If Ukraine joins the EU, not only would they remove themselves from Russian economic influence, but they likely, eventually, overtake Russia in terms of economic output. Russia cannot imagine a world where little brother is graduating college while they're selling meth to get by.

While Europe might want to have an economically strong Germany, they have been screwing the US for decades, and much of Western Europe as well. German doled out money like no tomorrow to PIGS so that they would buy from German companies. Then German banks hollered like stuck hogs when PIGS couldn't repay the loans. Oh and had EU regs use "Green House Gases Emissions" standards to force companies to use German patented equipment in manufacturing which actually did noting.

The simple fact is the poliboard has become a containment zone.
It’s for mouth breathers and weak-principled intelligentsia to diddle themselves and keep it out of the rest of the site.
The reason the poliboard is in a state of perpetual meltdown over Ukraine is that with previous events (Covid, election fraud, cheese pizza joints, etc), it was possible to keep everything in the esoteric realm. Any data or information running contrary to their point of view can be summarily dismissed because it’s not “concrete”- something your hands can be put on.
But you cannot deny Russians in body bags. You cannot deny successful counter offensives. Their entire worldview needs Russia to win because a loss forces them into a scenario wherein their information sources/interpretation has been challenged.
It’s why you saw the pivots to “is Ukraine is Moscow yet?” and still bring up muh Kiev ghost 8 months later- to desperately try to force the onus of information credibility back to the mainstream instead of their “alternative” sourcing.
It’s not about geopolitics, or peace, or oil, or whatever, for them.
It’s about maintaining their own perceived credibility of the world which they have cognitively constructed over the last few years.

there is a ton of that but also a ton that just dont want america to spend money overseas. i get the not spending part.
but i have come to the realization that we are goign to spend on stupid shite like gender studies in pakistan so this is money better spent that 99% of our foreign aide and that most of the weapons we are giving them were just items we were sunsetting anyways.
