Except context missing that TTF natural gas price is still dropping even after pipelines damaged and unusable.

This began when two FSRU's were hooked up and started taking in LNG for Europe with three more for Germany on the way by year end. Note the graph shows annual, though winter demand peaks AFTER the three FSRU's start receiving.

Panic for European market began after outage for the Freeport, TX plant was shutdown due a fire in piping and was toned down when Germany announced how much it had in storage.

Elon had a lot in common with Neville.

What's the world coming to when you can't get a BJ in your foxhole without someone trying to drop a grenade on your head.

How about Russia leaves occupied territory now.

Ukraine agrees not to blow up the retreating Russian soldiers. Lives saved immediately.

Putin declares annexations null and void.

Like Elon, I'm a little bit on the spectrum and I too wish you could distill human behavior into an algorithm. The world would run much more smoothly and predictably. Plug in variable x and result y reliably follows. But it doesn't work that way.

I've seen articles written in the context of nuclear terrorism that claim just slamming two uranium plates together would do it, and simply dropping one plate onto another from a few feet might be enough. No idea if it's true.
If it were that easy, the Manhattan Project would have been a lot smaller and quicker.

Folks need to keep in mind that Russian internet Telegram bloggers have the same mindset at an TD LSU Game thread… as in it’s likely a lot of over the top doom n gloom.

For what we reason… people on the internet tend to be pessimistic.

Do they? If winning was about who was the larger country we would have had an easier time in Iraq and the Russians would have won in Afghanistan

That doom and gloom has been correct, recently, as Ukraine has won large victories. By the way, here's another one:

quote:

"The Russian army left Dudchany on the Southern Front. There are no reinforcements. The situation is critical."

More manpower won't help Russia if it can't train, equip, move and supply that manpower in the field.

There's more to fielding a large army than just boots on the ground, Russia seems to have forgotten that.

Musk's plan will save lives.

Warhawks in this thread will be bummed they won't be able to live vicariously through Ukraine.

Aside from the plan assuring future aggression from Russia and subsequent nuclear threats to get their way, why would Ukraine agree to it for themselves?

If someone broke in your house, destroyed it, killed your family members in it, and you caught them in the process and proceeded to BTFO of them, almost to death, for cops from another county come in and tell you you should stop and let them keep the good parts of your belongings left and you have to be happy about it and not retaliate, how would you take that? Oh and by the way they’re your neighbor you’ve had for decades and not like them and they can’t move afterwards.

also wonder if we could get the Korean licensee to make HIMARS rockets for Ukraine. To this point, Korea has been unwilling to provide weapons directly to Ukraine, but I think that the "annexations" might prompt a review of that policy.

If Korea as looking at the war in Ukraine closely, they’d be stupid to give up weapons like the HIMARS that would be invaluable in the invent of a NK invasion.

The whole UN referendum thing is stupid… Likely thousands of those who would vote Ukrainian have fled west or are dead.

Musk should be smarter than that.

lost in all the noise of the last week or so i've been seeing lots of reports of stuff like this

quote:

Ukraine is dumping silly amounts of artillery on Tokmak tonight.

Y'all think AFU might be gearing up to try the dreaded "rear admiral" on Melitopol?

Except they have been more accurate the last month in reporting actual results. Otherwise have been cheerleading
