#Iran will repair #Russian planes, as well as supply parts and equipment for them.
Imagine having to rely on Iran for something like this as a “super power”

TBH Iran knows a thing or two about keeping old planes running. They’re still using a few F-14s we gave them during the Shah’s reign. Might not be the worst decision Russia has ever made

a road and rail bridge over a hydroelectric dam. This is in Nova Kakhovka.
I thought I remembered this dam from a few days ago - they targeted the approach roadway. I think the area hit may be elevated but not part of the dam. I'm going by the image in this twitter post and an analysis further down in the twitter thread.
Twitter - dam damage
The damage was verified in UKRINFORM.
On July 24, the Ukrainian forces struck the bridge over the dam at the Nova Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, damaging the road but still allowing passenger vehicles to cross the bridge. Russian sources claimed that Ukraine used HIMARS to strike the bridge and reported that repairs to the bridge are already underway
I believe the section they hit was an elevated section over the lock seen just to the right of the dam.

Are you seriously white-knighting for foreign aid to nations that harbor terrorists?
No I am just pointing out that it was not OMLandshark's tax dollars that were used. All of OMLandshark's tax dollars combined probably could not afford the long distance telephone calls used to set up the foreign aid to either Pakistan or Ukraine.

China stops buying oil from Russia's Eastern Siberian Pipeline. that is a 600,000 BPD line which goes to China. It was a longterm commitment stopped by China.
That is what China is doing in public. It is what China is doing behind the scenes that makes the real difference. China will stop buying oil through a Russian pipeline this week and then on Monday there will be a sudden increase in the # of tanker cars traveling the railroads from Russian into China.

That's going to leave a mark as Russia has to sell at steeper discounts, closer if not at zero profit
Bullshite! There is no way Russia is giving discounts means less or no profits for them. If they were doing that then how could the RUB is the world's strongest currency right now?

The desire for defensible borders and warm weather ports has fueled a lot if this.
Agreed. Maybe the country 6000 miles away should take the foot off the NATO gas pedal as well. That would probably help.
Are you referring to the USA? Because the USA is not 6000 miles away from Russia. Mainland Alaska and mainland Russia are 55 miles away from each other. The Diomedre Islands are only 2.5 miles apart. The Trans-Alaskan pipeline (one of the major energy infrastructure points) is easily within distance of Russian bombers carrying cruise missiles. Not to mention that Canada shares a huge northern border with Russia across the Arctic circle which missiles can fly over and submarines can travel under.

What's going on in the faux money laundering war of 2022?

Are you two married?
No, but it does seem like we are one of the few Americans that believe in America First on this thread.
You are missing the bigger picture. Thanks to 5+ years worth of US/NATO training and access to US/NATO intelligence sources Ukraine was able to drive the mighty Russian bear with its modern Russian equipment away from Kyiv and Kharkiv. Ukraine did so using mostly Soviet made technology with some western anti-tank missiles and handheld SAMs thrown in. Yes the Javelins and Stingers got press but most of Ukraine's success in March and April was with US/NATO trained special forces using soviet made weapons. Then the influx of western technology into Ukraine helped Ukraine slow and limit Russia's second objective to a 6 week long campaign to capture on city instead of a blitz to capture two or three oblasts in the same time period.
This war has demonstrated that the training and the technology of the west is miles ahead of Russia and China (whose military is made of Chinese knockoffs of Russian equipment). Since any potential nation state that might cause trouble for the USA and/or our allies (i.e. Iran and NK) are equipped with crappier versions of the Russian equipment that has been devastated in Ukraine and trained to use the same tactics as Russia. Those nations are now rethinking long and hard against making any moves vs the USA and/or our allies. Helping Ukraine win it will inevitably be cheaper in both treasure and American blood than a Russian/Chinese backed country making trouble against a US ally and dragging us into war. Therefore helping Ukraine win is the perfect example what America first actually looks on the world stage in this day and age.

Is it large enough to cross the Ms River? Also are you wiling to get paid to conduct a study to see if it is needed? If so then you are in luck and you will probably get paid if you contact the LaDOT.

Russia has been giving $40 per barrel discounts to China, and India for months. Recently Saudi Arabia started buying at a discount. Keeping wells flowing is cheaper than even losing money in sales. shut in the wells and years before oil is flowing again.

Rail instead of pipeline? This is just stupid economically at such distance at least $15 per barrel higher cost if not $20 It costs wayyyy more to use rail and one cannot transport as much.
