What are the Ukrainians using for counter battery radar? I don’t see that we have given them that yet.
Counter-battery systems are listed in the DoD rollup of all military aid to date.
Fact Sheet on U.S. Security Assistance to Ukraine July 8, 2022
ETA it does list the number - 26 counter-artillery radars;

No. I think the western media has done a laughable job of covering the war. Its embarrassing. I had little faith in media, but they've proved again how worthless they are, outside of being a mouthpiece for certain agencies.
Initially CNN had done decent war coverage. I’m not talking about the opinion shows, but the news broadcasts.
But that only lasted a few weeks. I think they gave up months ago and quit trying to cover the events of the war. It’s piss poor.

what do you recommend as a better source among major networks?

It's probably best to avoid network news for anything.

I am not knighting for the media however, it does take a huge amount of resources to cover a war. I was told CNN et al did a good job with the Gulf War and watching I think they did a good job with the Iraq war for the first few months this trailed off as the war raged on and the viewing public lost interest.
My point is the average person in the US has very little interest in the war. While this thread is very long the participation is low, it is the same 20 or so posters making the majority of the posts. I just don't see how they can justify, as a business decision, devoting the type of time needed to do decent coverage.

Russian dress uniforms look like what you'd see in a direct to DVD sci fi movie.

I’ve always thought the striped undershirts were particularly terrible looking.

The striped shirts make them look like French naval seamen

Nor Korea when we actually were involved in a aerial shooting war. But the total, seemingly, lack of diplomacy is troubling. Comparing just about all the Cold War crises to the present situation seems different and new territory. Fortunately, it appears Biden's puppeteers and Putin won't allow it to cross the line but we'd better not push it too far.
The Cold War was as much about diplomacy as anything and the complete lack of it right now must be discomforting to anyone no matter what one's perspective is politically.
Let's just pray adults still exist in both side's chain of command.

I was thinking of how our jets would do against the Russians.
Why would Russian AF jets be fighting Russian AF jets. You are Putin loving neo-Soviet so you could not possibly be a real American.

The Ukrainians are losing one to three jets a week now. According to the Russian MOD press releases.
I don’t think the Russians have lost a jet since March or April.
Are you really stupid enough to believe the Russian MOD?

The USA started giving radars to Ukraine back in early 2018. Despite the lies that the dems spread to impeach Trump, Trump was very active giving aid to Ukraine. Javelins, radars, boats, and his administration was working on a deal to sell F16s and Patriot missiles to Ukraine before he left office. The Biden administration scrapped both those deals because they were Trump deals though.

This is the reason I never liked any uniforms with salad, just BDUs (yes I get it I'm olde). They tell you all you need to know about a soldier. Look at the lapels (again old) to see who salutes first, look at the right shoulder to see how much of a prick they probably are, look at the left shoulder and above the left breast pocket, and know how much of a badass they are. I don't need to see a stupid jangling medal telling me you are an expert marksman on some weapons system, if you are in the combat arms I expect you to be at expert qualy level on any weapons system you are likely to use.

I think the record is pretty clear that despite Trump’s mistakes regarding Ukraine that led to the impeachment, Ukrainians have expressed the opinion that the Trump administration was overall very supportive of their defense needs, much more supportive than the Obama administration. The current administration wasn’t as supportive in the immediate time after the election, but has been very supportive since the invasion. At this point the continuing support is simply a good investment.

Per former active duty USMC recon and former SEALS, Ukrainian news is accurate as far as what is happening other than not reporting Ukrainian casualties in men and equipment.
