I think these would have had the world turn on Russia before they had any "victory" and would have been bad, so they just went for invasion.
Russia thought this would be easier and quicker and tried to have their cake and eat it too, apparently.

Golden nugget, I get where you're coming from. My problem is that the common Joe in Ukraine has nothing to do with the corruption and they deserve their own independent country. Also, I think all governments are corrupt Ukraine's, Russia's, and ours. I can't bring myself to hate Ukraine for participating in corrupt Democrat's pay for play schemes.

Yeah I think there is a lot more clandestine help going on. I imagine there are lots of SF units across Ukraine right now and Ukraine may have more advanced anti-air tech than anyone knew about previously.

The “Turkey stuff” comes directly from Zelenskyy’s official Twitter account.
Now, there could be a situation in which Google translate butchers the meaning of what he’s saying. There is some uncertainty regarding whether he’s asking Erdogan to do it vs thanking Erdogan for doing it (as the Google translated it).

Russia tried to be precise to minimize civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. They have gone in soft, I fully expect that to change. As Turkey and others start to back away and especially if they deny sea access. Put in is going to become a lot more dangerous and will want this wrapped up asap.

You have the entire corporate media establishment, intelligence agencies, political left, big tech, social media, and the same social media users who for 2 years made their social media profile pictures a selfie of them wearing a mask, now changing their profile pictures to a selfie of them with a flag of Ukraine in it - heavily pushing a pro-Ukraine narratiave
You have the whole gang of foreign policy disaster politicians and public figures like George Soros, Hilary Clinton, the Obamas, the Bidens, Adam Kinzinger, Mitt Romney, Bill Kristol, neocons, and more - heavily pushing a pro-Ukraine narrative
Something is not adding up, which is why I am hesitant to join the pro-Ukraine side. Doesn't mean I am pro-Russia.
