Drones are going to change the battlefield in ways we can't even imagine yet.

Saw it the first time in Mosul, then widely used in Syria. Its the way you fight now. Ans it is an inexpensive capability.

This is the first larger war but drones are all over the battlefield.

we can learn just as much from the conflict as the Ukrainians or Russians without losing American soldiers.

Fighting (and winning) strengthens militaries. You figure out who the real leaders are, and who was just good at climbing the ladder. Men gain skills, and the army as a whole becomes much more effective at carrying out its duties.

You also figure out what equipment works. And what doesn’t. Maybe some of it it needs modifications. Maybe some of it is just junk that got pushed through the procurement process. Either way, you learn a lot.

Can the poli board resurrect their lunatic thread so that the OT can get rid of these mindless pieces of shite who believe that allowing Russia to regain direct control over the former soviet satellite states in Eastern Europe is ACTUALLY GOOD FOR the USA. That believe that opposing the naked Russian aggression and invasion of a neighboring country is actually weakening the USA. That believe that the Ruble will overtake the DOLLAR on the national stage. That believe that exposing the Russian military as the old, hollowed-out shell of a fighting force that it is is bad for the USA. That support the Oligarchs that are so corrupt they cause this to happen. That claim that somehow, Ukraine is more corrupt than Russia and that is somehow justification for allowing Putin to reform the USSR.

Some of you are straight-up traitorous bastards.

News on the Ukrainian Kherson offensive from ISW. This sounds like it isn't going to be a major effort. That is surprising to me if that is true, is it a sign of Ukrainian weakness? What good comes from wasting precious combat power on a temporary gain?

My source(s) wouldn’t give any more details except to say wait and see a lot of pieces are in motion for the next two to four weeks.

There is not much land there since the land the Russians are defending backs up against the Dnieper and a large reservoir. If I had to guess that they have found a weak spot and are clearing out Russian defenses or it’s a diversion. I don’t believe it’s a diversion since they are using 32 BTGs and because the other offensives that Ukraine has launched in the war all started out slow and limited before grinding the Russians down before “Russia decided to withdraw its troops and focus on other areas.”

Is that why Russia is bringing old tanks out of mothballs? They are better than their new tanks?

You do understand that you don’t need the newest tank to police the towns villages you have just conquered.

Wait, I thought Russia was liberating oprressed Russian speaking areas. You're admitting it's a war of conquest and they need tanks to keep the conquered population under control? That's a significant slip. It might get you purged by your GRU masters.

Ok so what equipment or troops for that matter have worked so well for Russia. A large portion of their armored vehicles have been turned into ash by western hand portable munitions. We haven’t even seen Ukraine really get in a tank on tank engagement on any meaningful level yet with Russia even though Ukraine has vastly built up their tank fleet of predominantly T-72’s so they are on even field with Russia there. The only thing i see that Russia has done better are using their 60 year artillery not to target special places but to erase sections on the map through saturation bombing yet the Ukrainians continue to hold lines all in the east outmanned and outgunned 7:1. Ukraine has made much more use of drones to not only attack but watch the enemy and use them to direct their own artillery that while smaller in numbers are superior in quality and accuracy and more pour in through Poland from all over ever single day. Ukraine is outnumbered but if they can hold their lines for another few weeks they will have thousands of newly trained recruits to put into the fight as well as trained crews on some of the western weapons coming in.

I’ve been pretty open about Russia wanting eastern and southern Ukraine or novorossiya.

This war isn’t about defending Ukraine, it’s about defending corrupt politicians pocket books. If y’all really cared about Ukraine then NATO would be sending boots on the ground and initiating no fly zones like Zolomsky kept crying for.

Just so I understand correctly, you would have supported a one party led military intervention leading to more money and lives, but are 1000% against a bipartisan bill for $40B? Just want to make sure I'm following this train wreck of logic correctly

Stunning drone footage of trench warfare in Ukraine.

Brutal, eye opening, and I thought worth sharing. While the popular culture continues to make light of the #Russian soldier, here you see him, assaulting entrenched positions. The commander or lead assault soldier is fierce and gallant, before falling.

All the local commies.

You should be stripped of your screen name.

I suggest Mr. Ulyanov instead.

ETA the forum doesn't display Cyrillic, guess we got that good 'Merican software.

Six T-62s down

I wonder if the Russian strategy is to feed ancient tanks into the buzz saw until Ukraine runs out of anti-tank rounds.
