I get tired of this being thrown around because it only applies to localized breakthrough battles but people all over the place are trying to apply it at a strategic level. It has little to do with the ability to strategically exploit the breakthrough if achieved. It is yet another example of dumbing down modern warfare to the point everyone thinks they are an expert. Armchair generals that wouldn't know a battle drill from a Dewalt drill.

I’m done arguing with every CNN bull shvt excuse in the book. However, why didn’t Biden say he would respond with military action towards Russia, but he will with China?

Now the only explanation is that it was intimidation or Putin is dying of cancer and has gone crazy like CNN says.
Or, that his own goons blew smoke up his arse and grossly over estimated his military.

That seems way more plausible than willingly killing thousands of your own men, wasting billions of dollars, and sending your military, economy, and world power status straight down the shitter for decades all to trick the Ukies into thinking they're taking Kyiv

all you are able to do is pull cnn out of your arse anytime people with more knowledge say things that hurt your feelings...that's not arguing, it's acting like a child.

Nobody has quoted or linked in CNN in almost 100 pages. You just are ignorant and cannot accept the fact that your are getting pawned.

They literally have southern Ukraine and the eastern regions on full grasp. The reality of the situation is this victory from a drawn out war of attrition in Kiev and all of Ukraine was never going to happen and y’all are having an extremely hard time coming to terms with this. Russia got what it wanted plain and simple.

You are in complete denial and it's pitiful. Putin wanted the whole damn country not some of it. Kyiv was supposed to be a decapitation attack. He badly miscalculated and thought it would fall quickly. You yourself were crowing that it would be over in 48 hours. Putin/Russia does not want to be in an economy-draining attrition war in Donbas for the next 5-10 years, which is what it's facing now because the Kyiv offensive failed miserably. Stop deluding yourself.

Because you realize you dug a hole you can't get out of with the propaganda you swallowed?

Good question and I don't know the answer, but they did have to release a statement saying (something to the effect of anyway) we aren't deviating from our prior Taiwan policy.

I don't know enough about the Budapest Memorandum and the Taiwan Relations Act, but maybe there is something in there about why there is a different approach

Thank you for proving my case on my previous post. Now, I want answers to my Biden Taiwan question please.

If Biden would’ve told Russia that it would military intervene if it invaded Ukraine, do you think the outcome would’ve been different? I understand since there’s no CNN article to answer this, this might be a tough question to answer.

Since there is no RT you might have a hard time too

Honestly, no. I think he would have thought we were bluffing and would have tried to call a bluff like he did with sanctions.

As a non-armchair general who didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, That “3-1” statement has seemed too generalized to me because of the extensive use of high tech air attacks and unmanned systems. Maybe I’m missing something but the 3-1 seems to suggest a lot of live people on the battlefield as opposed to long distance manned and unmanned air and precision ground weapons.

Pointless Sanctions and being military threatened by a force 3 times your strength aren’t accurate comparisons amigo.

Call it what you want, but sieging a city with the intent on capturing and holding being outnumbered 3-1 is completely ludicrous regardless.

To be fair, everyone thought that. Biden himself was begging for Zelenskyy to flee. Russia’s best troops were literally on the very outskirts of Kyiv at one point.

Yep. I've been trying to tell them for 2 weeks.

"bUt rUsSiA iSnT mObiLiZeD"

Let me use a football analogy.

Bama is up against Mississippi State in the second quarter 7-6. Bama drove early and fumbled inside State territory. State drove and kicked a long FG from the 34. Bama took the kink off and pushed back into State territory finally scoring a TD.

A Bama fan in the stands tells his wife not to worry, Saban hasn’t put in the first string yet even though we haven’t seen Bryce Young leave the field on offense.

Keep saying Russia isn’t trying. I’m sure all those grieving momas, wives and girl friends appreciate that.

No way dude. Palmetto pinky swears it was all just a feint and the "non-war" is going just swimingly for the Russians....
