To continue my previous comments, this blows my mind too. They’re close (supposedly) on hypersonic missiles but their infantry can’t fight at night? Just weird.
But I’ll say this, everyone seems to be getting prematurely excited about the Ukrainian defense and the supposedly stalled Russian advance. Let’s remember that this war is only 3 days old. It took US forces 3 weeks to capture Baghdad in 2003 and we had all the cool shite anyone could dream of.
I am however encouraged by some of the reports we’re getting. Hopefully they’re true and Ukraine can hold Kiev for another week or two. I think the longer they hold out the more sympathy they’ll get from western nations. Public opinion is already shifting towards giving more military aid to Ukraine and I suspect you’ll soon see more calls for direct military action against Russian forces in Ukraine.

It’s literally only been a day and y’all are looking like clowns declaring victory. Ukraine isn’t Iraq and that invasion lasted a month.

Also both sides are doing propaganda. I’m going to need to see some proof that they just shot down a plane carrying 125 parachutists.

This is what casualties involving actual countries looks like. We aren’t talking about a country against armed rebels in pajamas in Afghanistan lol.

Iraq was supposedly one of the most potent armed forces on Earth - both times. They got their asses handed to them with the quickness both times. IDK WTF you're talking about. We weren't embarrassed militarily until Brandon took office and scampered out of Afghanistan.

Not even comparable. There were never a point in the Iraq invasion where the US suffered anything close to what the Russians have suffered so far.

I think they may have underestimated Ukrainian resolve. The question is now that pressure is mounting, will they continue their invasion or draw back? I just don’t see Putin being willing to take an L.

I think Putin is set on killing Zelesky, then having some BS transitional government installed that is completely controlled by the Kremlim. Putin wants to get to that point asap but would rather not have to raze a European capital.

Maybe not in a battle against the Ukraine but if it ultimately sparks off WW3 then it will. I think China is rethinking their military might right now seeing as 99% of their weapons are Russian based with stolen US/NATO advancements. If a small, poor contry like the Ukraine can hold off THe Russian Bear, what do you think the US/NATO could do??
Everyone thinks that China wants Taiwan so bad, but ultimately they want payback at Japan. Japan was horrible to China through out history. That’s their ultimate goal.
They are seeing first hand how poorly their weapons systems will fare against the western stuff when it comes to Russia/Ukraine!!

Actually most of their history China was the Dominant partner. Think big bro little bro relationship. Thing was Japan modernized and waxed China in the sino-Japanese wars and then the 1930s and wwii.
They hate each other now but it's a more recent development historically speaking
