Their economy is roughly the size of Florida's or so. That’s the cash pile they are working with. So yeah unless they are being funded under the table by China (who knows?) I doubt they can really keep up anything sustained for too long.

What are y’all’s thoughts on the US/NATO being aggressive?
What would we do and would it work? We could do the following:
1) Say frick it and add Finland and Sweden to NATO
2) Place ICBMs and additional missiles closer to Russia
3) On behalf of Ukraine, NATO to enforce a no fly zone over Ukraine.

Yeah just smaller more mobile vehicles etc. Maybe they feel they can get by here, but in the future not which would deem the tanks about worthless. And to your point, still need infantry and these guys appear to be young and green so potentially using this as live training for the future as well.
Seems like they’d have established air superiority by now via targeted missile strikes, drones, and their own fighters though. Other have pointed out the logistics failures too. Idk what the appropriate mix of intentional action with eyes to the future and ineptitude is.

ETA: There is some debate as to the wrong date (just the year) on the video. It says it was on this day last year, but apparently those type rockets haven't been used in Ukraine in years, but are now.

There is no official neo-nazi party. Ukraine does has far right parties, none of which hold much power.

To continue my previous comments, this blows my mind too. They’re close (supposedly) on hypersonic missiles but their infantry can’t fight at night? Just weird.

Either way, Ukranians have had time now to dig in and fortify locations. Either Russia will have to ramp up the bombings, thus putting more civilians in danger, or they are going to have to undertake a likely brutal urban warfare campaign to take Kyiv.

All it takes is a simple google search to find their Nazi ties. The media was all over this before the invasion. This isn’t Russian propaganda at all.

That's a possibility. I guess they haven't been in any widespread fighting recently. Our guys have seen Afghanistan and Iraq, but I'm not sure how much conventional warfare type fighting has been done in those places recently also.

They’re somewhat on good terms with Russia. I don’t think they entirely trust the US either but they’ve had several issues (sometimes conflicts) with China in regards to Northern India and China’s desire to dominate that whole region of Asia.
Plus China is on good terms with India’s hated rival in Pakistan
Not India related, but even Vietnam is somewhat of an ally to the US because the Chinese-Vietnamese relations soured quickly after the Vietnam war. They see China as a serious threat too

I think it’s a combination of both. It’s illogical that you have 2/3 of your army sitting on the border and not using them when you are trying to overwhelm them quickly though.
ETA: I guess Putin is trying to move fast without fricking infrastructure up so that he can use it. I think that’s why we see Russia not being super quick
