They have clearly won in the areas they have focused on
They've one in one specific area so far...I'd hardly call that clearly winning

I do think the Russians expected Kharkiv politically to get in line similar to Kherson which didn’t happen
Is this the same Kherson that has to keep pushing back their admission to Russia because it's not being welcomed by the locals?

This also flawless victory narrative is pure copium
Says the man who thinks both Kharkiv and Kyiv offensives were just for show. Understand we aren't saying Russia should have a flawless victory we are rolling our eyes because you won't acknowledge that these were setbacks and losses.

It is. They keep delaying the election because they do not believe they can win a rigged election in Kherson.

Austin to Host Second Ukraine Contact Group Meeting Monday
May 20, 2022
Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III will host a second meeting of the Ukraine Contact Group on Monday, Pentagon Press Secretary John F. Kirby said today.
The group is composed of nations dedicated to aiding Ukraine in its fight against Russian invaders. Austin first convened the group at Ramstein Air Base, Germany last month.
The number of countries in the contact group is fluid. There were more than 40 countries at Ramstein and Kirby said more than 40 nations have responded for Monday's meeting with more expected. "There are some countries that have shown an interest in participating that weren't in the first meeting," he said. "But there's not a cap on (the contact group). We would love to have as many … countries participate as possible."
The countries range the world, the press secretary said. At the first meeting, "you had countries from the Middle East, and countries from the Indo-Pacific," he said. "It wasn't just Europe, and it certainly wasn't just NATO. There was a true global community there of countries that were interested in what's going on in Ukraine. And more than that, as the Secretary said very eloquently, you wouldn't have been there if you didn't care about Ukraine and care about helping Ukraine."

You said nothing that I already didn't know. Trump was right to get all of NATO to meet their obligations.
But which country literally provides the heavy lifting for NATO? IIRC when NATO supported our efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq, most of the trasnport was US. I suspect we also pay the greatest amount of "administrative" expenditures.
Whose 2% is the greatest?

Many of the "rebels" to take Donbas from Ukraine, were an offshoot of the banned National Unity Front a pro-Nazi group. Banned per Putin. Just sayin...
So that's how he was gonna denazify Ukraine...by letting them just be Russian Nazis

Believe whatever Cnn cope narrative you want, but the number of Russian forces alone indicated that they had no clear intention of capturing Kiev. If you want to call it a loss to help yourself sleep at night then so be it, but reality will always win at the end of the day.
Who in this thread has been using CNN as a source?

Considering we're the only country on this entire planet that has global airlift capability, uh...ya?
Don't think we were doing that shite for free though.

While there have been a few CNN articles linked, probably 99% of the links in this thread are not from MSM sources.

We've been flying lots of intel missions since the start of this war, I wonder what the wear and tear on the airframes is looking like.

Less than the wear and tear on flying intel missions the past twenty years for OIF/OEF.

Well, if you disagree with Palmetto98 then you are the enemy. So you only listen to CNN in his pinhead mind. Logical in that universe of stupidity.
Palmetto98 is a complete moron, at least from the standpoint of having any understanding of the functioning of the world.

We have the best Air Force in the world for a reason. We put money into our aircraft and the training of how to maintain them. No other country can hold a candle to us in terms of keeping planes in the air and not broken on the tarmac and for all the well deserved attention our fighter jets and pilots receive it’s our air mobility that sets us apart from any other military including Russia and China. Our C-17’s, C-5’s and C-130’s are the the gold standard for military transport.

The optempo may have/probably has increased, but they wouldn't have been sitting idle. They would have been flying somewhere regardless.

Russian advances near Popasna appear to be rapid. ISW is unable to confirm but the writing appears to be on the wall. They’re encircling the Eastern front.
