The tweet that started it all (145k 20 year old girls liked this tweet, think about that for a minute):

Let's dive a little deeper into this beautiful fantasy:
But, Is this life all it's made out to be?
Oy Vey! That doesn't sound good.

Alcohol is killing more people, and younger. The biggest increases are among women
Oy Vey! That doesn't sound good.
quote:
One alarming statistic: Deaths among women rose 85 percent. Women once drank far less than men, and their more moderate drinking helped prevent heart disease, offsetting some of the harm.
Deaths among men rose 29 percent.
While teen deaths from drinking were down about 16 percent during the same period, deaths among people aged 45 to 64 rose by about a quarter.

Ron Byrd says Erika, too, dreamed of having children. After two divorces and stage 3b breast cancer, however, the chance was slipping away.
"She wanted so desperately to have a baby," Byrd says.
quote:
The last time lawyer Erika Byrd talked her way out of an alcohol rehab center, her father took her to lunch.
"Dad, I know what alcohol has done to me," she told him that day in January 2011. "I know what it has made me do to you and mom. But that wasn’t me."
By the time she died three months later, Byrd had blocked her parents' calls because they kept having her involuntarily committed. They once had a magistrate judge hold a hearing at her hospital bed. He ordered herto undergo a month of in-patient treatment.
Byrd, who died in April 2011 at the age of 42, is among the rising number of people in the United States who have been killed by alcohol in the last decade.

No such thing as a "cool wine aunt".
Only that crazy cat lady who smells like alcohol, shows up at every family gathering like she has nothing better to do, and keeps kissing all your younger siblings on the mouth for more than 3 seconds.

See back to the "where have all the good men gone" thread and remember that when 30 comes around.

Just like all the people who have been killed by guns. The alcohol did it right? The person drinking it isn’t at fault

I became the cool wine aunt before I left my ex. Drinking an arse ton of prosecco and traveling to visit friends were my coping mechanisms that last horrible year. It was both depressing/pathetic and fun.
Now, I’m married to a jock and I never drink. Never had kids, but I suppose this is about the best outcome possible for a former cool wine aunt.

The Child free crowd are an absolutely insufferable bunch. They're a good reason why western civilization is in decline today.
Have you noticed how the leaders of western europe are childless?

The guys are nearly just as bad
Lots of guys picturing themselves as Don Draper will the sweaty, overweight, bald guy at the end of the bar desperately watching younger girls

All of those tweets seem the same to me because in every future vision the woman has to be the center of attention.

I believe that most women have this space in their life that is only filled by having kids, not all but most. It seems that most women that dont have kids regret it as they get older and sink into depression. I think this correlates with the high ownership of dogs with women. Literally every 20something year old girl I know has at least one dog, most have multiple. Just like men have the inherent need to work and provide, I think women have the need to care and nurture something. In today's world this is looked on as "sexist" "chauvinistic" or whatever but just my opinion.

Yeah but that's normal. No creepy arse old guy ever got on Myface and asked "Where are all the good women at?"
