Oh yeah. They constantly have to tell themselves and others they love being single, no kids, devoted to career. And they have to denigrate the women who are devoted to their husbands, don't work, are having babies and in the kitchen.
Of course they have to constantly reinforce this. Think of the women you know who meet one of the 2 descriptions. Which one is much happier?

Men are just as bad. I work with almost entirely young women in their 20s. The men in their life are complete shite. There is no commitment, no desire to live together, no desire to marry or start a family, really not even a desire for independence. They aren't trying to build a career or sow wild oats; they wait to be told what they should do, what they should want, when and how it's acceptable. The arrested development of young American men has never been this bad.
I was a huge poon through my teens and 20s, but even I was never shy about my desire to have children or for my wife and I to work hard and sacrifice to build a life that would allow it.
I know young, reasonably attractive women that have gone on 4-5 dates with men that are scared to kiss them, that regularly choose a weekend with the boys or with their family over the girl they're seeing, that always want to "get to know each other better" before committing. I mean, what kind of self-hating man invites a woman on date after date, pays for all kinds of shite, never makes a move, and voluntarily puts himself in the friendzone when she wants to move things ahead? And we haven't even reached the Sexbot revolution yet.

Every “cool wine aunt” I know is bitter and miserable. Especially when their looks start to fade and they can no longer have children.

My SIL is batshit nuts but used to be good looking. She was always dependent on finding a man to take care of her though. She's been married and divorced 7 times. Now her looks are essentially gone and she's in her late 40s living with her parents

My wife has an aunt similar to this. Has two kids who are all fricked up too, son and daughter who have done jail time. Now she posts all this religious bullshite on Facebook.

She has a son who's all screwed up. He lives with the grandparents sometimes too. He's about 28 and never had a job.

I know a few “cool wine aunts”. But I know even more “middle aged wine moms” who’ve lost control of the internal alcohol regulator device and are wreaking havoc on their family’s.
