My yellow Lab died in March and I’m looking for a female yellow purebred this summer in the AL, MS, TN, GA areas. Doesn’t need to have hunting lines; prefer an English as a family companion. Thanks in advance for any breeder recommendations. Very much appreciated.

Outside the area you specified but our last two labs have come from Steve Lyons in Sulphur. Top notch hunters as well as affectionate family dogs. One of them will ignore his food as long as somebody keeps petting him.

You will probably get better answers on the Outdoor board. They love this kind of shite.

My sincerest condolences for the loss of your pupper. its never an easy thing. Are you dead set on labs though? Im getting a new dog soon and I went with a pudelpointer. Amazing dogs. Very much family dogs that hunt. An amazing breed that i saw work this winter. not very well known amongst us Southern folk.

In union church ms (South West Ms, no too far from Brookhaven and Hazelhurst, we have 2 British labs from them and could not be happier, Mark owns the place and is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and produces beautiful healthy British labs

I used Wildrose Kennels in Oxford MS for my precious British yellow lab. Very professional place but I remember there was a pretty long waiting list.

We purchased an AKC English female chocolate lab from Silver Birch Labrador Retrievers located in Hazel Green, AL four and half years ago. Breeder is Lisa Terry.

At eight weeks the puppy was potty trained and always sat prior to feeding. She’s been a great dog, no issues. We are looking to get another puppy from them soon.

Very different breed traits compared to an English lab. What breeder did you use for your PP?

T Bar Kennels in Kansas

I got two labs from them. First was 12 years ago and hes still kicking and another 2 years ago. The smartest sweetest dogs Ive ever had. They specialize in white English labs.
