Not surprising considering majority of the population is obese and/or uneducated. People actually believe the vaccine sterilizes people.

The case numbers are going to increase as kids are going back to school and are required to get tested.

Hospitalizations have quadrupled in like 2.5 weeks. If they double again we will be at the overrun part in some areas.

It is just a question of what the current ceiling is

I'm ready for this to be over with or ignored more than anybody but the number does not shock me. My office has had two covid positives from March through June. In July alone we've had seven.

This another backlog of six months of tests dropped on a single day?

We are over testing. If you had it before you still got its particles in your nose so you pop another positive

They could quadruple and we’d still not be overrun. Hell, we might even get use out of the convention center boondoggle

I mean if they quadrupled from this point and got up over 3k certainly some areas would be overrun.

Certainly some areas could. I believe the word you’re looking for is could.

We could set up that giant tent hospital we bought with taxpayer money!!

Oh wait, we sold that for pennies on the dollar after never using it.

Lol we are fricked.

I saw on the WAFB notification that 800 of these are in the hospital. That's 15%.

This is what I want to see.

How many test positive. How many of those are vaccinated. How many people with Covid are in the hospital.

If the number of people with Covid who are not vaccinated is about 95%+ then its pointless to report these numbers. Who cares about those who are not vaccinated? Not me. Its their right to not get it.

I don't wish death or permit health conditions on anyone, but even if its people I know, if they decided not to get the vaccine and they happen to get real sick.. and the unspeakable does happen, I am not going to be all that sympathetic just because they made their decision. Whatever happens is on them.

Yeah that was a debacle, but you can't do that throughout the state. The entire state doesn't consist of just New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

I'm sure they would be fine, but many small areas would not, not if the hospitals quadrupled again.

Gee, where have I heard this before.

Where are they going to put the refrigerated trucks to stack all the bodies?

GTFO with this absolute fearmongering bullshite.

5400 cases and 13 new deaths. 13 in a state of 4,600,000 people.

Two weeks to flatten the curve……..

You divided a running total (hospitalizations) by a daily total of cases (5,388)to get 15%?

Surely you realize you can't do that, huh?
