Kissing your child on the lips (hello/goodbye kiss)

What are your thoughts on that? I've seen this before and have always found it odd.

My sis in law is DATING this guy, and he kisses my 13 year old NIECE (her daughter, not his) on the lips.
I wanted to call the cops, but was told its ok. Thats how they do it. They dont do anything sexual. Whoa.

My wife always kisses our daughter in the lips. And my daughter knows I only take kisses on the cheek. I find it weird for a parent to kiss a child in the lips and I tell my wife it's gross all the time. Of course I don't eat or drink after anyone either
