I have two sons, ages 13 and 10, and I only do kisses on the cheek and hugs and this point. When they were little they wanted to do pecks on the lips but I phased them outta that awhile back. My dad was stingy with hugs so I guess I overcompensate by always telling them how much I love them and hugs, etc..

Probably sitting inside his windowless van in a playground parking lot.

I only have a son.

So it's weird to me. If I had a girl though I don't know.

I still kiss him on the cheek until HE acts like it's weird.

I WILL kiss him on top of his head until I am dead. Whether he wants to or not.

Do you have small kids?

Until you do, you dont know what love even feels like. And when you, expressing it isnt that big of a deal.

The correct answer is:

Boys- top of head and cheek always
Girls- lips until she's older, then cheek

My son is 13, he gets a kiss on top of the head and a hug.

My daughter is 7, she gets a kiss on the cheek unless she goes in for a kiss on the lips which she does every now and then. She's also a big time snuggler. So doesn't do it that much any more but every now an then she'll have a nightmare or something and come get in bed with me and my wife. It never fails that she'll snuggle up to me. I don't mind as I know it makes her feel safe and everything is OK in her world. Still, it sucks having a king size bed and only have about 6" of one side to yourself.

Quit being insecure. Go open mouth on your son and show him what true love is.

Don't be creepy. Gotta give a Pat on the butt too so it's not weird.

I think this has been addressed before.

FTR, I kiss both my kids. My parents both kissed me. Their parents... And so on. It's not weird to me.

Kissed all mine on the lips until they were all about 9 or 10. Once they start getting older they kinda turn when you go for the lips
Nothing weird just different strokes for different folks. As mentioned earlier if tongue becomes involved then there is a problem.

It's only weird if your nickname is "Pecker."

Why?

Articulating why it's weird is "creepy".
