Exactly. That's why you don't do it to a 2 year old.

I always aim for the head or cheek but sometimes my son kisses me on the lips. I love the shite out of that kid and I couldn't care less about how it is perceived.

kissing on the lips should be a sexual thing. Kissing on the cheek shows affection.

You don't have much worldly knowledge, do you?

A peck on the lips is nothing sexual.

All I would ever do is kiss them on the cheeks. Never lips.

yeah I was thinking that too. That's inappropriate contact IMO.

He's saying it's not only weird but sexual as well. Dude doesn't just have issues, he has serious issues.

If your daughter initiates it, sure. But, I'm not teaching it and when she is old enough to understand, it won't continue.

Seeing parents kiss their children of age on the lips have issues.

Isn't that the most awesome thing? If I am having a shitty day, I always look forward to that.

I have a daughter, she is four and every once in a while she will give me a peck on the lips.

I think it is sweet but I don't have an immature mind.

Clearly, as she gets older this won't be the case.

I don't know how in the world to explain that I do think it's weird that you kiss your kid on the lips but I don't judge you for it...it doesn't make you weird or her weird, it's just...I don't know.

That's the best I got. FWIW, my parents always showed me affection and I'm very affectionate and I show my little girl affection all the time. I just don't give her pecks on the lips. It's...not my thing? I don't know.

Only weird if one makes it so.

That said, I am a cheek kisser with my little boys and will likely always be.

Just because you don't see it as a sexual act, doesn't mean most of our society doesn't.
Of course it's not when kids aren't old enough to understand. Don't be stupid just to try to make your point.

Still too intimate for my tastes. Unless someone died, graduated or got married, they're getting a firm handshake.

It is only a sexual thing if YOU make it a sexual thing.

Nothing wrong with kissing your kids on the lips, as long as they are kids

Yes, clearly most of society thinks about sex when they see a parent kiss their 2 year old.
