I peck my son on the lips and I peck my daughter on the lips. Every parent wants to take pictures of them and their kids showing affection towards each other. If you're a parent, you know that you have to "hold" the pose to get a decent picture. I didn't swallow my sons head after the picture was taken. my profile pic is also about 2 years old and I no longer kiss my son on the lips because I'm not some dude who gets off on trying to get his son to kiss him on the lips. I kiss him on the top of his head, or his cheek if he's laying on his side. I expect anyone who doesn't have kids to be "awkward" regarding this...

I'm on the couch with my son right now. He reached over and kissed me on the lips saying how much he lives me. He's 4.
If he wants to cuddle up on me, I will. If he wants to kiss me, I will.
I slept in my parents bed if one of them was out of town until I was probably 12 or 13.
It's simply not a big deal. It's not a sexual kiss, it's an affection thing. If you think it's weird, then it's weird.
When the day comes that my boy doesn't want to kiss me on the lips or cheek, I won't do it.
My Dad is more of a handshake guy, so that's what we do. But honestly, I could really go for a full hug when I see him once or twice a year.
My great grandfather kisses everyone in our family. He's 102 and wants us to know how much he loves us. Nothing wrong with it.

This reminds me of my Ex GF who thought that breast feeding was disgusting because she for some reason can only see breasts and sucking on a nipple as a sexual thing.
