The article makes a huge leap over events and says 10 seconds later the dude was shot. What happened in those 10 seconds. You were obviously there, so tell us.
What in the world do you think happened in those 10 seconds that would have resulted in this being a justified shooting or the LEO acting rationally?

How did we ever survive without SWAT teams ready to knock down doors in the middle of the night?

problem with this line of thinking is that now the cop is hesitating and hesitation can get you shot in the face
By all means, don't verify hostile intent or anything. Let's all just conduct ourselves according to our fears and worries.

so you didn't read the article.
Police arrived armed and prepared for a hostage situation. According to Finch's family, Finch saw the police lights outside and—not realizing that his own home was their target—went out on the front porch to see what was happening. Ten seconds later he was shot and killed by police.
District Attorney Marc Bennett investigated the shooting. His conclusion:
The officer believed Mr. Finch was the suspect who had shot his own father and had been holding his younger brother and mother hostage. This officer perceived these movements by Mr. Finch and believed the subject that he was looking at, Mr. Finch, was reaching for the gun that he would have used to shoot his father moments earlier. The officer believed he saw a gun come up in Mr. Finch's hands. The officer stated that he discharged his weapon, thinking that Mr. Finch presented an imminent risk to the officers.

If we're going to have a bunch of pussies with badges and guns then it's time to just make the LE community 100% female.

according to the DA the officer thought he was reaching for a gun...so lets say this wasn't a prank call and was a real situation (cop had no reason to believe otherwise) and the guy on the porch was indeed a real suspect and goes back inside and kills 2 family members? i guess you would say the cop sucked and allowed 2 innocent people to get killed right?

This is as big a load of horseshite as illegals coming across the border and crying victimhood back in their home country.

Honest question that is kind of important to the cop being charged or not.

there's alot of 'thought' this and 'thought' that involving LEO mistakes that certainly don't get punished for and somehow marked as justified.

Exactly. This dudes crime is blatantly apparent to anyone with a brain.
2. Since the article doesn't mention, what is blatantly apparent?

without a reasonable doubt is hard to prove in these cases. The guy responsible, prank caller, is being charged

you know this is not even close to being accurate
*in every situation they fly off unhinged and shooting an unarmed man chilling at home doing nothing wrong?

Though it is refreshing to know you are able to lick boots while using the quote and bold functions at the same time, none of what you quoted or bolded proves the unarmed, innocent man that was shot and killed by the police did anything to provoke being shot and killed. Or that the piece of shite that did the shooting and killing was justified in doing so.

can't be proven...just like what happened in those 10 seconds.
You're right, if only we had multiple angles of body cam footage showing the victim doing nothing wrong.
Oh wait
