I'm sick of this rhetoric. Yes, being a cop is a dangerous job. Yes, they re likely underpaid. That doesn't give them free reign to do whatever they please. If you're in the military, you can't just go and be like "oh frick this they're shooting and throwing bombs at me. Hey Sergeant, thanks for everything but I'm out, I think Im going to go catch a flight back to Miami." Or a firefighter being like "nah, that building is pretty doggone hot. frick that family in there that needs saving. I just want to see my wife tonight".
I support the police, but I do not blindly support them. It is ok to support the police, but also be critical of them as well. If not, then you literally give them free reign to shoot anyone, and as long as they say "I feared for my life", then it's a-ok.
