I believe it was known in town that nephew Colin Albert was known to have something to do with drugs. But Brian Higgins had an interest in Karen and Karen had ghosted him for several days as she has said in interviews there wasn’t anything going on with Higgins and she wanted to stop communicating with him.
Whatever it was, it was apparent from the shenanigans at the Waterfall, that they wanted John to go to 34 Fairview. After John went in the house, Karen was texting him to see if he was staying or going. Ryan Nagel said when he pulled up to 34 Fairview, he saw Karen alone in her car with the dome light on.
Another thing that really pissed me off about today’s testimony from Lt Gallagher was the way he acted like he didn’t even understand the concept of evidence collection when Jackson was crossing him. He makes $325k a year!

That’s news to the prosecution. You should probably provide that video to them. They have been struggling with a lying witness trying to prove it so far. You could crack the case for them if you send this video.

The flirty texts were throughout January but I do not believe they were continuing up until the night of the Waterfall gathering. I’m pretty sure they started after the Aruba incident (when Karen thought John was cheating) then Karen stopped texting Brian after those text exchanges. I remember that being the reason why so many people thought Higgins set up the fight with John because Karen had flirted with him and then ghosted him.

I was referring to by the time the night of the event had happened, she says that she had stopped talking to Higgins by then.

I mean yeah if you are talking about that night sure. The defense said that she started “ghosting” him on January 23rd. Thats not even a week before the incident.

I'm no expert, but someone concerned about getting back to the kids doesn't seem like a murderer.
Something happened in that house, & the ruckus caused the dog to attack. Probably how he hit his head. He left, drunkenly walking around & dazed from hitting his head, looking for Karen. Fell out & froze to death.
That makes a heck of alot more since than she hit him.
Could this many people coordinate & maintain this level of corruption?

The defense today intimated that KR might have had a drink or two when she got to JOK’s place because she was upset he didn’t come back out of the house. That would move the time past 12:45a.

At first I figured she was in a blackout and didn’t remember hitting him. This would explain why she was predisposed to blaming herself the next morning and for telling Jen McCabe she left okeefe at the waterfall bar.
Then I started watching the trials and seeing all of the blatant lies getting exposed on cross examination. Why would everyone be lying so much if they had nothing to do with it? Destroyed phones, deleted searches, lied to the FBI, etc…
It’s a quandary for sure. I do know one thing, I’d never be able to vote guilty with all the reasonable doubt already exposed in this second trial and the defense hasn’t even presented their case yet!

That was much more contained. Once it was known it exploded. And social media wasn't what it is now.
This has been known from the beginning & the victim can't speak for himself.
I'm not saying there is no corruption, just that it has to run deep. And why isn't it been exposed?
Admittedly, I haven't kept up with the case as well as others. This board is where I get my info.
Exposing it would be the way to get her off. Is the judge in on it? This case is nuts.

I can't believe it will even get to that point. As soon as the prosecution rests, the defense will ask for -- and judge should issue -- a directed verdict of Not Guilty.
If the prosecution wants to salvage some shred of dignity they won't object to the motion. It may be what keeps them out of a Federal investigation into their conduct in this case
