you've brought a lot of good commentary to this thread. That was not one of them.

Could this many people coordinate & maintain this level of corruption? How many people hide/covered up the wrong doing in the Catholic Church?

Attorney Melanie Little from New York is who I watch for the trial each day. She tried the New York Catholic Church scandal case and won. She said the number of people in the Church that were in on the coverup was way more than Karen’s case.

Also just realized Katie McLaughlin wore the exact same thing in court today that she did last year. Looks like she has been living in the courthouse since trial 1.0

I was simply providing an example he may have heard of where a lot of people were involved in a cover up.

Not that I believe every person that takes the stand in this case is in on the cover up.

Brian Albert
Nicole Albert
Jen McCabe
Matt McCabe
Brian Higgins
Are the main players.

One of the videos I posted showed the Albert house, where the basement was located, there was an entrance/exit to the basement on the outside of the house, which was close to the gate and his body wasn't that far from the gate.

I think its possible he was somehow killed on the basement. I think they said four people, including O'keefe had gone down to the basement.. I could see a situation where he is accidently killed and they carry him out through the backyard exit and place his body by the road without everyone in the house being aware and they truly believe he was killed by Read hitting him.

But that would be a whole separate case. They are trying to prove Read did not hit him and because they don't have the evidence to say that he was definitely killed at the Alberts, that would be a more risky path to take using that to prove she is innocent.

And while I am only able to watch a few minutes of the trial every day; from what I have read I don't see how she can be found guilty. Of course you never know what a jury is thinking, but I think witnesses like Mccabe did more damage to their side this time than last time.

That’s pretty much what their defense is.

With proof? The cop that was fired, was he proven to be corrupt in this case?

Yea it was. That gate is in line with the house so you’d have to drag the corpse what seems to be almost at the street.

Interesting tidbit I just tried - Google maps 34 Fairview in Canton and they blurred out the house but the flagpole and the gate are both visible.

I guess the term corrupt would need to be defined, but yes he was fired because of his investigation.

Wiki defines it as:

quote:

Corruption is a form of dishonesty or a criminal offense that is undertaken by a person or an organization that is entrusted in a position of authority to acquire illicit benefits or abuse power for one's gain.

I don't think trooper Proctor acquired illicit benefits or personal gain but the defense is the "big blue wall".. So to me it makes sense.

Google says this is why he was fired:
quote:

Proctor was dishonorably discharged in March after a state police trial board found that he had violated agency rules when he sent derogatory messages and shared sensitive and confidential details with non-law enforcement personnel.

You make your own call...... I can be persuaded that the defense has a case of corruption and coverup.

Holy shite I just realized something else after looking at the street view... The prosecution is claiming she went in reverse at 24mph to hit okeefe. That would put her approximately at the southern neighbors driveway at a distance to gain that kind of speed in reverse.. The street has a slight curve in it there!!! You ever tried to back up straight at 24mph?? Now try it in a curve!! This is bullshite!!
The defense should definitely bring this up in their reenactment.

You would think there would be some sort of indication from her tires if she hit the gas hard enough to get to the magical number of 24 mph in a short distance but I guess they could blame it on the snow

Noticed that as well from Oweo's animation link. Seems like the curve starts right past their house. She must be an expert reverser!

I love how the judge asks the jurors every morning if they discussed the case with anyone, or if they saw or heard anything about the case? They all say no..

I would imagine that would almost be impossible at this point.

can't believe it will even get to that point. As soon as the prosecution rests, the defense will ask for -- and judge should issue -- a directed verdict of Not Guilty.

Did you watch the first trial? There’s no way Bev is granting a motion for directed verdict of NG.
