Just had my annual song and dance with SiriusXM

Have a plan that costs me $8.49 per month after taxes and fees. It expires next month, and it is scheduled to go up to $23.05/month.
Get on their website to cancel. Have to chat with an agent to cancel. Agent pretty quickly says, I can extend you for 12 more months, same plan, same $8.49 per month.
Done and done.
Took maybe 15 minutes.
Such a silly game to play. I wonder how much in hourly pay they have to pay these agents each year to do this. Are there that many dummies out there that just go along with the price increase?

Honestly, I’m surprised that so many people still listen and subscribe to satellite radio.
With all of the streaming and podcasts that are available, seems like more people would be listening to that than satellite radio.

I’m going through the same song and dance with DMV. My license expired last month and they’re trying to charge me $33. Yeah right. Couldn’t get anywhere on the phone so I’m waiting for them to come begging.

I don’t sign up for it. Seems to replay the same songs on the stations I listen to and the DJs are so damn annoying. I can just play Spotify for less and all is better

Those "agents" are all in the Middle East and Asia so they probably aren't paying them very much at all

They've gotten to me like commercial radio: The same songs and artists over-and-over with presenters that don't STFU. Shemeika Copeland on BB Kings Bluesville is the worst. I've never in my life heard a person talk about herself so much.
