If you aren't at fault, then you shouldnt even bother calling your own insurance unless the other person's insurance is giving you a hard time or dragging their feet. Make the claim only with the at fault driver's insurance
ETA: But that Geico rep must be fricking retarded

My boss had a situation with State Farm recently that was very similiar to yours. Both parties had State Farm. The State Farm rep completley dismissed the police report in his claim that showed the other driver at fault. Eventually it was settled but he had to go up the chain to find someone competent. Ive had good service with Geico so maybe you just got one idiot.

The funniest part is that no matter who is at fault your insurance is about to cost way more!

Anybody ever notice that any accident on this board is never the OP's fault?

1. State Farm
2. Progressive
...
998. Geico
999. The General / General Insurance
Get out while you can, IF you can. Nothing but horrid experiences with Geico, but the General still beats them by a hair.

Sounds like you need to get the other guy's insurance. You didn't give a lot of details about the accident, but if your company is really trying to frick you, you need to switch immediately. Line yourself up with another company, then tell your current agent to go choke on a dick. Typically I don't hold a grudge against people who hold a job that may cause controversy; they're just doing their job. My exception is with auto insurance agents; I find that I hate all of them.

Never give a statement right away. Let the reports come out. You don't have to talk to anyone. When someone says you have to give a statement remember you don't have to do shite. I told my insurance company person to make sure their recorder never got sun damaged.

I have been with Geico for 18 years. I have never made a claim and have full covered. They recommended that I take a online defensive driver class to lower my rate. I took the class they lowered my insurance by &100.00 a year. The next year they went up $100.00. ASSHOLES!

See it all day long. GEICO would screw over its own mom if given the chance

My last wreck I got t-boned in a Tulsa apartment complex parking lot.....by a State Farm claims rep!
She was late to work due to her pregnancy and totaled my car, less than a mile from the claims office. Pushed the passenger door into the center console of my Toyota Celica.
St. Farm who coaches: Never admit fault! The 1st words out of her mouth? "I'm so sorry, it's all my fault".
Fastest claim settlement ever. Took all of about 48 hours to have a check in my hand.

The problem lies with what the first letter in "GEICO" stands for.

I've been with State Farm for decades. During my 20s I was involved in four minor accidents. The most minor was declared my fault. My rates dropped 25cents every six months. They've always treated me well.

They treat you like royalty if you are military or former military. If not, they're just another insurance company. My GF has it courtesy of her father, who was retired Navy. She's had several problems with them.

This is my first accident, I didn't know I had an option.
