When one of our local judges was practicing law a few years ago another attorney who worked in his office passed away from cancer, said other attorney's mother was already a widow so her son passing away was really hard on her. The attorney who owned the office gave her a little part time gig just answering the phone and talking to clients in the lobby while they waited. It was a good way for her to socialize and see folks that she hadn't seen awhile, have a visit with old friends, all that good stuff.
Just a thought if you've got some buddies with a law, insurance, real estate office, etc.

If she doesn't need the money let her work for a charity that she agrees with.

That would be a super weird thing to lie about, but choose to believe it or not. I won't lose any sleep over it.

I think she wanted something to do part time, and the 40% off is a really nice perk if you aren't working there to actually earn money.

When my mom worked there, she said she had to quit because it was getting too expensive to work there. She'd get a paycheck for a few hundred bucks after spending thousands.

I'd recommend a hobby over a job if she doesn't need money

Serious - volunteer work at a hospital. It will get her out and she will meet folks her age.
Best wishes to her.

started a non-profit where they make crafts

This might not be funny to yall because it has more to do with the person saying it than anything, but long story short.. In college, I worked part time for local government so obviously we were in contact with the public pretty often. There was this guy. He was "out there". He really wasn't an idiot, but he always had some unique ideas.

One day he came talk to us and was like "last night, it came to me (he would always say this.. "it came to me"). I figured I would start a non-profit coffee shop for underprivileged children where they can come in and make fudge". His goal was to teach kids how to run a business and cook.

He really had good intentions, but at the time.. It was just out of nowhere he came up with "a non-profit coffee shop for underprivileged children where they can come in and make fudge". Like I said, I am laughing thinking about this shite, but it isn't as funny just reading it.

If she's a people person and doesn't need the money, volunteering with a local charity, hospital or nursing home

If she's as you advertise she'd make a great receptionist in an office setting.
