I'd still want to see the entirety of the video before deciding anything. Going through hypotheticals is irrelevant rhough. The only things we know for sure are what was seen on the video and that the video is incomplete. It doesn't look good, but these things rarely are how they are presented initially.

This post right here is what is wrong in politics. This idiot is taking personal decisions and forcing them to fit in a political context.
Like all conservatives think one way and all liberals think another. I doubt mr. Trout knows the differences of the politics beyond the absolutes he personally applied to them.

Let’s just get rid of all cops then for fricks sake. Let’s see how long you whiny babies last. No respect for the men and women who put their lives on the line so you can sip your wine in peace at night. fricking ridiculous, if you don’t frick with the police then shite like this won’t happen.

Let's just make it legal for cops to do anything they want and allow them to commit crimes if they feel like it. You may be comfortable with an authoritarian state like that most Americans are not.
What I always find amazing is I had a platoon of mostly 18-20yo that often got fricked with but never once did I see one break the ROE. They were able to keep a level head in much more stressful conditions than MG.

I would rather patrol Baghdad, Pristina or rural Afghanistan than Orleans or Jefferson Parish. Much nicer people. We also get to go home. I'm sure you noticed a different attitude on the local police who had to live there.

I wouldn't. Hell, I watched a video of a guy blow another guy's head off at the BR airport....dude didn't spend a day in prison.

Still nobody able to come up with a scenario that would make the cop's actions appropriate.

I agree with the scenario you describe here, it very well could have been an exchange of something personal.
Another scenario is the kid could have thrown something at the Cop.
The first Cop was well past the kid and came back because something happened or there was a verbal exchange.
There's much more to this story. Something already happened and the phones were out recording.

kid definitely failed the "situational awareness" part of the test. Pretty fricking stupid to give double birds to a cop when 10 of his friends are standing less than 4' away.
