Nowhere in those statutes is forced justified

Look bro I know you are still mad about Hillary loosing but you are beating a dead horse.

If a cop gives you a direct order and you disobey you are breaking the law and will be dealt with on the next level. Which may be getting your dumb arse thrown in the street and arrested.

Stop acting like a fool

The police can back up their orders with force because it's often a crime to disobey a lawful order from a police officer.

If this doesn’t scare the shite out of you as an American I don’t know what would.

I was one of the first Trump supporters on this site

And you still haven’t answered my question. Perhaps you should understand the relationship between police and citizens before playing around with statutes you don’t understand

They've been doing that for years pretty common knowledge you get your arse beat by JP. One told me back in the 90s that they didnt have the time to arrest everyone so they just roughed them up

Things are going to shite in Jefferson Parish as demographics shift and the old methods of the JPs are running up against technology, and the "civil libertarians".

What if he orders me to whip my dick out, or punch the person next to me, or do the funky chicken?

God I hate it when I have to agree with you, but so many people here forgive police for way too much shite

I’m a small government conservative

Anything an officer of the state tells me to comply with must be done or I should be assaulted

I'm pretty sure there's (at minimum) 10 people on this site that would let a cop get to at least second base with their wife right on front of them before they started to feel uneasy.

If the New Orleans metro area was like America and had the values of Americans I would agree, but our population resembles and has the values of Haiti or Nigeria.

So the police don't scare me, their opponents do.

This is why some people think White Privilege is an actual thing.

Show me a current statute in ANY US jurisdiction that allows a cop to follow up even a lawful order that is not complied with to commit an assault and battery then walk away. Further what lawful order could a cop be enforcing by slapping away a cell phone? Cop simply lost his shite.

Yes like many whites, I had the privilege to be raised to understand the importance of religion, marriage, industriousness, and morality.

Do you not agree that the evidence provided this far is pretty incomplete? Once you admit that, can you not just agree that we should wait and see before picking a side?

Here's the problem with that reasoning in this situation. There's nothing on the video that gives suggests he did anything deserving of an arrest. So, if he committed an arrestable offense prior to the start of the video, why did they wait until after he flipped them off to pull him over the barricade and arrest him? Even if he had committed an arrestable offense prior to the start of the video, waiting until after he flips the bird after having his phone knocked out of his hand is petty and a bad look.

There's really no way to explain this away. At a MINIMUM, the cop lost his cool and was not at all professional. This is assuming the kid did something more egregious prior to the video.
