Nope. I only know what I saw. If someone provides evidence to the contrary I'll reevaluate.

Based on the evidence provided I have no reason to assume positive intent on the part of the officers shown.

No one has ever answered my question so I’ll ask you trout. Hypothetically, because there is no sound, what would someone say to a cop that justifies the cop slapping his cellphone to the ground and flipping him the bird.

I’m not asking you what this kid said because we don’t know. I’m asking what could be said to legally justify the first cop’s Actions

That may be true, but he doesn't have that right.

He needs to be a law abiding police officer; not a proxy father.

Mother frick

Do you not agree that the evidence provided this far is pretty incomplete? Once you admit that, can you not just agree that we should wait and see before picking a side?

That’s a bullshite excuse. In no other, NO OTHER, profession is it acceptable to lose your cool. They are paid to deal with this shite but have a lower level of tolerance than a directv customer Service rep is expected to have. Bad part is, when they are too hot headed to put up with it, you end up with a record and a ton of fines to pay. Weak hot heads!!!!

I’ve dealt with plenty of cops on mars I grad and they aren’t trying to arrest people. They usually have more patience dealing with idiots and try to give people a chance not to get arrested.

But cops still don't have the legal option to commit an assault and battery and walk away. The cop can walk away, the cop can legally flip him off, though unprofessional, but they can't commit a crime. The cop committed a crime but to the big authoritarian government types, it is ok.

And THIS is why nobody respects police officers anymore.

You have to be the bigger man. Act like a motherfuking adult and a professional.

I have no idea what caused the cop to slap the phone out of his hand and flip him off. Seemed pretty unprofessional but not something to be fired for. I hate when people immediately call for anyone’s job. He should be reprimanded and if he has a history of complaints fired...once all the facts come out.

If that video is the only evidence in this case, then there is ample evidence of wrongdoing by the officers and zero evidence of wrongdoing by the guy they assaulted.

So, having reviewed all the available evidence, I say those cops should all be fired and incarcerated.

Is it not clear to you that the cop committed a crime? There is no legal justification for a cop or citizen to do what he did, it is illegal. Even if the black guy deserved to be arrested for something prior to the video it does not absolve the cop of the crime, in that case they both should be prosecuted.

Got to be honest. Cops should be allowed to kill people like Judge Dread style. Crime would drop to nothing in no time.
Same at the border. Give them fair warning and start shooting people crossing the border. Photograph the dead and drop them like leaflets by plane all over Mexico. Illegal immigration go bye-bye. And no wall required.

If you were on a jury you would convict based on that video alone? Wow

Was Bad Boys playing while that was going on, or was that looped in?

I didn't hear any threats or aloha snackbar or anything...but I'm sure we need to wait for even more evidence to clear these upstanding civil servants.

I agree. I figured if the kid had done something that warranted that kind of treatment, they wouldn't have been walking away. The kid had every right to shoot the bird, he's supposed to be immature and he's just returning what an adult in uniform did first.
Even if he did something that warranted arrest, did they really need several grown arse men, and I use that term loosely, to beat up a teenager b/c he shot the bird?
