Amazon is becoming way too powerful which will come back to bite us in the long run.

Care to give some examples? There are many small businesses that are thriving from selling through Amazon. There are a shite ton of common people that are making a bunch of money by owning their stock.

And it saves me money because my wife is ordering stuff from them and not going to the mall.

I seriously want to know, what the hell do you do with all that money. He probably owns houses in every continent. Likely hasnt cooked a meal or drove a car in a decade. I honestly can't even fathom how much money that is. He probably spends 10,000 a week, yet he is still making a profit in everything.

Look at the retail industry as a whole. Amazon is murdering them.

Not to say it's not warranted, I'm glad the marketplace is becoming more efficient and we can do away with brick and mortar.

But there is no real competitor to Amazon, even online. No competitors is disaster for the consumer over the long term.

You can pick and choose some small businesses that are doing well, but again Amazon is even squeezing their profit margins smaller and smaller.

Amazon is doing what Walmart did to retailers decades ago, just on major steroids.

Yup, zero competition. GTFO here with that.

He's wildly liberal. Liberals only want conservatives money.

it's becoming more and more common for the "commoners" to call out Amazon for terrible working conditions and low wages.

Supposedly their IT jobs are a bit of a meat grinder and they have a ton of turn-over. That's why HQ2 will be where there's a ton of college grads. Everybody that graduated UW already paid their dues.

Technology and innovation work very well in a free market economy.
Walmart has a few Walmart picking up locations near me and they are doing well. Either you adjust or not.

I do appreciate still having brick and mortar places that are unique and provide great service. Those are few and far between though.

I'm surprised Amazon doesn't get more flack for all of the trash that they generate from shipping.

The vast, vast, vast majority of his wealth is illiquid. I'm guessing most of it is in Amazon Stock

well. to be fair a lot of products on amazon are being sold by multiple vendors, so that is creating competition because the lowest priced one is normally the top listing everyone uses
