Its almost as if it was political.

Exactly. It’s like the blue haired person in the Progressive commercial. We all see it, but nobody should say anything.

It’s pretty easy to sit here on 6/1/22 after months of record inflation and say we all saw it coming… the reality is most of us knew it was a potential concern, but had no idea it would be like this. Granted, it’s not our job it know like Yellen. Just think the monday morning QBing of the inflation issue is a little overboard.

Just because you’re a fricking moron like Janet Yellen that didn’t know this was coming based on the policies being put in place doesn’t mean the rest of us are too.

I like how she says that energy and food prices were "boosted" like it's a good thing rather than saying that the shocks to the economy "raised energy and food prices."

For once someone actually admitted they messed up.

However, Putin, China, and trump will still be blamed by Biden

I posted about it here in May 2020 when Trump was giving away free money:

LINK

Another perennial idiot, JohnnyKilroy, replied to my post with Keynesian nonsense and I explained that TARP money was never technically put into circulation and the difference was that Trump, and subsequently Biden, were inserting trillions directly into the money supply this time.

Even without the supply chain issues an inflation bubble was primed to blow up in our faces. All it needed was a catalyst/spark for the bubble to blowup.

From that thread:

quote:

If it were this simple companies and the government wouldn't pay people a shite load of those dollars to try to figure what inflation is going to be

You have to admit they’ve done a great job…of creating exactly what they wanted to.

Here is the deal...government leaders who were paying attention in the late 70's and early 80's are inflation hawks, first and foremost. The ones who weren't paying attention, aren't. She appears to fall into the latter.

Yes, I didn't like that he did it then and still disagree with it.

Unlike some we can admit when our people frick up.

As evidenced by posts in this thread defending the indefensible for one side.

She didn't misread the situation, they are purposely trying to crash the mother fricker and their solution will be a Central Bank Digital Currency. This is by design.
