To be fair though....PPE should never be reused. Goes against basic infection control standards to better protect staff AND the patients they are caring for. It is something that is relatively cheap compared to other hospital supplies and specifically designed to be single use only.
I will say this though...many RNs (and other HCWs but even I have to admit RNs are a very whiny bunch) need to slow their roll and not be so quick to just whine and bash their places of employment on social media. Many times they are just echoing gossip they have heard and don't even know the real situation (such as...the warehouse actually just received a shipment in and more will be heading to departments very soon).
Any professional knows you always post on social media such as FB where your real name is known as if you know it's a possibility your boss can read your posts. Many of these posts I see on these fb groups...I can't believe people are still that stupid in regards to what you post on social media in regards to where you work.

Everyone is going to get it in the hospital setting within 3 months. There is no way around it.

the majority of these "reports" have all been shown as blatant over exaggerations and/or straight up lies from people who want some attention
that right here is the biggest red flag this is all BS for attention

Well a lot of those gloves, gowns, and masks were made in China or other locked down SE Asian countries.
But it’s wrong to want for American manufacturing right?

You can tell who the accountants and healthcare workers are in this thread.
Cost shifting is real.

Talked to a guy who's sister is a nurse in N.O. and he said the protective masks they are wearing are in such short supply she's been directed to use the same mask for 2 days before disposing it. At the end of her shift she has to put the mask in a sealed bag and use it the next day.
That's insane if you ask me.

Razor thin pm? What is the payroll including executives and bod? Medicare and Medicaid? Yeah, us tax payers pay for that as well as our own deductibles. I don’t feel sorry for anyone working in a hospital. All I hear about is how hard they work to get where they are. Have a problem then don’t do it, get a different degree.

You do realize that if hospital staff don't have the proper PPE they need and get COVID-19...they have likely spread it around to other patients before they realize they have COVID-19? So it does actually affect more than just the healthcare workers you don't feel sorry for.
Also...when majority of the hospital staff are out sick, who is gonna take care of you or your loved ones if you need it?

Sure would be a lot easier to ramp up, and quicker to ship, if they were made in Indiana versus CHY NA.

Thanks for letting me know. This whole situation has brought out all the morons that post here in droves so it is hard to keep track of them all.
