Got one who posted something on Facebook saying it was 101 in New Orleans with a "feels like" temp of 140.

I could see the 101, but not the 140.

You'd need an 87° dew point to hit that heat index. People and their dramatics....

Not to call you a bitch, but today is the first day here that it wasn’t above 100 before noon in two weeks.

But, you’re a bitch.

Yup. It was 75 at 6 am in Metairie. My air conditioner doesn’t go below 80 until the sun goes down.

I got home about an hour ago and my AC hasn't shut off... I know this is New Orleans and we have hot summers but this is some hot freakin weather.

My neighbor and I share cutting the grass.. He rides his mower and I edge and weed eat... He just called that he wants to cut in the morning. This guy is in his 80's (?) and tough as nails.

Look into getting yourself a dehumidifier and a floor fan or two. Seriously, it will help.

Same here in Atlanta. We're literally the southernmost point affected by the fires

I just flew out of Peachtree airport at 2:30 and it definitely was not below. 80°. It was 98° in the rental car when I dropped it off.
