91 with 107 here.
But I expect it. It's a normal summer day in the deep south. This is how it always has been.

Back in the day it never “felt” that hot!!!!

They only told us the actual temperature and there was no such thing as the heat index. It was much better back then.

What do you consider "back in the day"?

I’d rather wear shorts almost 12 months out of the year anyway. I like living in the south.

No need to be a humidity show off. 100% humidity wouldn’t feel bad at 62 degrees

No need, but plenty of want.

I've told him before that no one likes a braggart.

People are soft these days. My grandparents grew up with no AC and they actually had to do hard work.

Now we have people sitting on their arse in an office all day acting like they are going to die because they got a molecule of sweat on their forehead walking from their air conditioned office to their air conditioned car.

I shouldn’t have to live this way.

Got one who posted something on Facebook saying it was 101 in New Orleans with a "feels like" temp of 140.

I could see the 101, but not the 140.

101° in New Orleans is really hard to achieve because of the lake. It cools in the summer and warms in the winter. Sure it gets that high there from time to time but 101° on the north shore is a hell of a lot more likely and common than the south shore.

I think you're remembering wrong. June last year was miserable.

It’s because the dew point has been in the high 70s the last few weeks. I can’t recall ever seeing it this high for so long. Usually when the humidity is high the dew point sticks around low 70s during the summer, esp in the mornings which is why we get that “sticky” feeling. Humidity has actually pretty mild for SE Louisiana around 60% for this time of year, but bc it’s high dew point it is a dryer heat.
