I put off buying a new shop compressor that was $1350 delivered last year, today it’s $2,150 and pickup only.

Lumber for fencing-prices are coming down thankfully.

Plane tickets

Cars

Cokes

Airbnbs

Chicken wings

There are a lot of things that I won't buy because of price increases. These come to mind immediately.

Moreso adjusted what we do for relax time/fun.

Food/gas/bills are the priority right now, not the newest device or a weekly datenight. Now it's a monthly datenight and looking for used stuff.

Have a Fresh Market near you? They have quality steaks on sale every Friday.

We used to barbecue steaks pretty much every week a few years ago.

It’s every few weeks now.

These are certainly first world problems but I think you would have to be awfully rich to not notice the increased cost of living across the board.

Chicken wings

It's sad because this was the shitty cuts of chicken no one wanted and became a pretty cheap meal for the longest time.

fricking gentrification ruining every meal on the planet.

A house. We own a home now but I brought some land and was going to build a new one. The interest rates are insane. So we are going to wait

Plane tickets are pretty high right now. Need to go to a wedding in NYC in 6 months. The prices surprised me for so far out

Used food is a good way to achieve both.

we are actually grilling more because we used to go to restaurants a lot more. Strips and cocktails from the grocery store are still way cheaper than dining out.

What kind of sauce do you use?

Or did you just grill them?

Prepared wings at restaurants are ridiculous. 1.50-2.00 per wing. Not worth it anymore

Cokes were also mentioned. 12 pack of canned cokes are around 7-8 bucks usually. Not worth it but you can find sales usually.
