Over the Christmas holiday I heard someone keep referring to some walmart brand tablet as an ipad.. So evidently some people refer to any tablet as an ipad.

It's kind of dated now, but at one time Frigidare was used pretty widespread for any kind of refrigerator.
Of course some (including me) still refer to it as an "ice box" even though the cooling is no longer provided by an actual block of ice. But that's probably for a different thread.
