It has now become a joy to encounter gas pumps without videos blaring from a screen

Who would ever thought just a few minutes of respite from the endless barrage of screens trying to fill your head with desires to buy stuff you don’t need would become such a rarity at the gas pump.

The gas station tv at the Shell on Metairie Road scares the shite out of me every time I start filling up. May be the most jarring noise on the planet.
