Just found this out two days ago when at the new Shell on Hwy 59 in Mandeville. Louder than the TV sound are and woofer in my house. Then the guy across started his too and it was unbearable noise. Obviously whoever installed these just set them to max volume. I started mashing buttons until I discovered that one mutes it.

Get an electric car. Tax breaks, and no impact to the climate. Or so I'm told. And only 10 hours charge time to go 100 miles.

I have a serious dislike for them. But I don't think they use them around here anymore. I would notice if they did and I can't remember the last time I have seen one while getting gas.
The reason I seriously dislike them is because one time I had bought a UFC PPV. I had an emergency come up and could not watch the PPV live on Saturday night.
Sunday morning on the way home I avoided everything that could be a spoiler. Drove a few hours with no radio on in the truck, didn't look at my cell phone - texts or internet, wouldn't go near anyone that I could overhear when I stopped for food.
Right before my house I pulled into a station to fill up for the week. I paid, put the hose in the filler tube and went to get a little trash to throw away. While I was doing this the freaking TV spoiled every fight I cared about.
Sad day for me. frick gas station TV's.
