This is not one of your better works.

Your Outdoor Board trolls are much better.

Oh well, the Taxman comes first, then the policeman comes next.

Install a big mirror on your property and reflect it all back to his house.

Two things, were you on any camera that you know of? These days you have to be like a ninja when doing something like that. Secondly, don’t admit to it on TigerDroppings.

Wipe the pellet gun clean and give it to a neighbor kid as well.

His light is saving you from being robbed. Use drapes that block out nearly all light at your house.

You’re screwed. Move to more land or get some blackout curtains.

It never amazes me people that buy houses on top of each other and want to dictate what privacy and comfort means to them.

Put out some gay pride flags so he’ll flee the neighborhood in horror.

This actually happened to us when we were kids.

A real estate developer- total a-hole - built his fancy offices right behind our house. He put up a light bordering our backyard fence. Shined right into the back bedrooms.

My brother - at about 16 years old - shot out the light and broke the globe. He later confessed to doing it.

The building owner presented my dad with a $400 bill and threatened legal action. I think my brother ended up paying it. Light went right back up.

Not saying you're right or wrong here. But if he really is this much of a pussy and actually pursues legal charges then the only logical answer is to

Entry point of this story implies free and clear of negativity between the 2 of you. Is that true? I’ve had difficult neighbors but common ground and respect usually wins the day.

I asked if he would turn it off

Had similar. Asked to angle it a bit away from my window. He did.

Solution?

shot it out with a pellet gun.

You went from “off” to d-bag. Tells me this story does not start with a clean slate.

Go by a nice heavy duty chain. Wrap it around the floood light and attach the chain to your truck bumper. Open a cold beer and floor your truck and rip the light fixture off the wall. Throw you empty beer can in his yard.

I probably would have knocked on his door around bedtime a few times to remind him, rather than going straight to the pellet gun after just one ask. But I'm also a psycho about turning off my own porch light at night because I hate how bright it is.
